Market Overton Play Area provides a play space for children including those with additional needs. It is located in a rural area and provides a variety of play equipment including accessible equipment for those with physical and sensory needs. It is run by a committee of people that raise funds to pay for the annual insurance, maintenance and inspection costs and new equipment.

Leicestershire Deaf Children's Society (LDCS) is affiliated to the National Deaf Children's Society (NDCS). We provide support on all aspects of deafness including communication, education, technology, social and behavioural and cultural issues. Membership is free.
