Charities In Sefton

The Botanic Gardens Community Association of volunteers was formed in 2012 to help the gardens to continue providing beautiful flora displays and other attractions which were in the process of being reduced, ended or closed by severe funding cuts.

The Charity is a Scout Group, operating in accordance with the principles of the Scout Association.

The object of the charity is to offer a safe, friendly and neutral environment in Greater Manchester and Merseyside where children of separated families can spend time with one or both parents and other family members.It is a child-centred environment that puts the needs of the children first.

The Charity manages the Community Centre on behalf of its member organizations such as the Bridge Club, the Self Help group, the St John ambulance etc., leasing it from the Sefton leisure department and managing the programme of activities.

Our activities encourage public engagement with Rimrose Valley Country Park in Merseyside. They include community festivals, forest schools, environmental initiatives, guided walks, health and wellbeing projects and volunteering opportunities. We encourage people to become active citizens, engaging in all issues relating to protecting the park and surrounding communities.

TO PROVIDE THERAPUTIC RIDING FOR DISABLED PEOPLE TO PROMOTE THEIR HEALTH AND WELLBEING.

Southport soup Kitchen's goal is to offer help and support to any one in need in the local community. Our mission is to feed and support those in need by providing hot meals and drinks as well as food parcels and resources such as toiletries and other daily essentials.

MAKE GRANTS TO ORGANISATIONS FOR THE BENEFIT OF CHILDREN/YOUNG PEOPLE, ELDERLY/OLD PEOPLE, FOR THE PURPOSE OF RELIEVING DISABILITY, SICKNESS AND POVERTY AND FOR APPROPRIATE PROJECTS IN THOSE FIELDS.

Managing Parish Church and associated activities

We run regular coffee morning and afternoon sessions, which are often attended by a guest speaker from Health, Education or the local authority. We also run events for parents three times a year, where they meet representatives from different organisations and get to speak to them in person and seek advice and support. We also attend strategic meetings with our local authority.

Apart from providing the headquarters for 7th Sefton East (Melling) Scout Group, Caunce Hall is there to provide a community hall for the people of Melling thereby facillitating community sporting and leisure activities.

Cherish (Reach And Connect) reach out to people (generally aged 50 or over) who are lonely or isolated, by offering friendship and support, hosting events, classes, groups and signposting to other services.

To promote the advancement and improvement of general education in relation to all aspects of the art of drama and the public appreciation of such art.

Seeking to ensure that faithful Anglicans in Liverpool Area are able to bring the good news of Jesus to the communities around them, by raising money to be used, amongst other things, to fund gospel workers, provide accommodation for gospel workers and support major projects such as the purchase of a church buildings

ANIMAL AID PREVIOUSLY OPERATED AS CHARITY No. 702713We aim to prevent cruelty and relieve the suffering and distress of animals in need of care and attention in the North West. We are committed to providing shelter for stray / unwanted animals and find loving homes for all the animals in its care ensuring they receive excellent veterinary care and are neutered, vaccinated, micro chipped.

Choral performances of classical music

German church of Liverpool: Provides twice monthly services in German. Cultural activities consist of; films, talks, advent bazaar, summer fete, lantern festival - all in German. Activities: Various luncheons during the year, excursions and walks.

The Southport Saviours Foundation's aim is to not only increase the coverage with more defibrillators, but to educate & raise awareness through first aid training.

IN DOING SO ACTIVITIES WILL INCLUDE PROMOTING UNDERSTANDING AND UNITY AMONGST THE VARIOUS MOSQUES AND ISLAMIC CENTRES; AND PROMOTING RACIAL AND RELIGIOUS HARMONY BETWEEN MUSLIMS AND NON-MUSLIMS
