SSCI operates Jordanthorpe Library in the communities of Batemoor and Jordanthorpe in Sheffield 8. The library is also used by other partner organisations to provide training courses and other services to the community.

Grant giving charity

Founded in 2009, Easy Street Theatre Company offers Sheffield's young creative talent the finest professional-grade theatrical training. With around 50 members, each year the company performs two large budget shows at some of Sheffield's most prestigious theatres. Previous shows include Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, Footloose, West Side Story Sister Act and most recently Chicago.

Opera on Location has been established to allow the advancement of the arts through the promotion & presentation of opera, & to advance the education of the general public through innovatively staged, affordable, high-quality opera in unconventional performance spaces sung in English by young performers in the early stages of their careers/professional singers requiring further stage experience.

RELIEF OF PERSONS WHO ARE IN CONDITIONS OF NEED OR HARDSHIP.PROVIDE DIRECT PASTORAL CARE AND SUPPORT TO MEMBERS AND OTHERS IN NEED.WORSHIP SERVICES.OTHER PURPOSES WHICH ARE EXCLUSIVELY CHARITABLE ACCORDING TO THE LAWS OF ENGLAND AND WALESWORSHIP SERVICES.

Brass Band

Our aim is to provide a meal to homeless and other people in need in a safe, welcoming environment.Our guests are Sheffield's homeless, rootless, marginalised and anyone in need. Our user group not only includes local homeless and other people in need but also refugees, asylum seekers and new arrivals in the city.

1. Spreading the Gospel in the UK especially in Yorkshire area is our main objective, organsing regular Sunday worship and different conference and summar. 2. We also provide a financial support to our members who are needy. 3. We organise social actitivies to bring togehter our member and our community at large, such as trips to seasides.

KANGA aims at serving Kurdish Children and Youths (KCY), their families and the community in UK starting with our community, in the fields of Education, Arts, Culture, Entertainment and Welfare successively.KANGA runs Mother tongue (Kurdish) and artistic sessions at KANGA Children and Youth Centres (KCYC) and/or on line in the UK on weekly basis (32 weeks per annum).

Lifelong Learning provided to those living on the Flower Estate and in the surrounding area. Activities include IT classes, English, maths and craft sessions. Childcare supports a limited number of sessions.

The Foundation exists to celebrate and support people to experience the transformative power of music. From funding music classes in community groups and schools to providing grants for people to buy instruments, The Power of Music Foundation enables, encourages and guides socially and economically disadvantaged people in Sheffield to develop musical abilities.

SVBA is primarily a performing arts company with the remit to train and develop actors from our community.

COMMUNITY GROUP PROVIDING ACCESS TO LOCAL THEATRE

We are a Christian church involved in mission work, UK preaching, welfare local and worldwide, educating youngsters in the gospel.

The Chapel promotes worship in accordance with the principles of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches. In addition to regular worship, the Chapel provides a location for namings, weddings, funerals and memorial services, as well as a place where a variety of community groups can meet and community activities can take place.

The charity has funded the salary of a Church Centre Coordinator at Hillsborough Methodist Church to assist its objective of working with the community.The charity has paid a contribution to the cost of the Sheffield Methodist Circuit's annual assessment charged to Hillsborough Methodist Church.The charity has paid a contribution to the re-furbishment of the Church building.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANISATION IS TO PROVIDE HARD TO REACH COMMUNITIES WITH ADVICE, INFORMATION RESOURCES, GUIDANCE & PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH, KNOWLEDGE & WELFARE, EDUCATION AND LIVING STANDARDS. THE CHARITY IS ALSO AT THE FOREFRONT OF PROMOTING HUMANISM WITH ITS FAITH, ALEVISM.
