Fundraising to support additional activities, materials and facilities that are supplementary or not available from the school budget.

The Federation continues to support Primary and Secondary school competitions in: athletics, badminton, basketball, cricket, cross country, cycle speedway, football, hockey, inclusive sport, netball, orienteering, rounders, rugby league, rugby union, table tennis and trampolining. We have also supported Sheffield pupils competing in regional and national school competitions.

The charity undertakes a range of activities and events aimed at helping to promote, develop and protect Meersbrook Park in Sheffield and manages the care and maintenance of the historic Walled Garden within the park with the help of 40 dedicated volunteer gardeners. The garden is leased to the group by Sheffield City Council which owns the park.

To advance, improve, develop and maintain public education in, and appreciation of, the art and science of music in all its aspects by any means the trustees see fit, including through the presentation of public concerts and recitals; to provide, through the Hallmark of Harmony Barbershop chorus, facilities which promote the practice or enjoyment of the art of music for recreation.

The charity runs a village hall centre. The centre provides a building all residents of the village have the opportunity to use. Most activities related to village life will be possible. For example: Space for meetings, a main hall for short mat bowls, line dancing, musical events, scouts, wedding receptions, education classes, plus two Meeting Rooms. We also have a Kitchen and an office.

Religious, educational and cultural activities

Nether Edge Neighbourhood Group organises four Farmer's and Craft Markets annually. A wildflower meadow area has been planted in the local park and bulbs planted in grass verges. We also organise other events such as a Party in The Park a. Our aim is to improve the environment and conditions of life in the area and to encourage residents to participate in the community's activities and affairs.

SHEEPDOG TRIALS

To relieve the suffering of stray and abandoned animals by providing a secure and safe environment until a new loving home can be found.

Provide financial support to families and their children up to the age of 18 suffering from a brain tumour or any type of childhood cancer attending Ward 6 at Sheffield Childrens Hospital. We raise money by doing fund-raising activities in the UK. We support all attendees of Ward 6 who request funding regardless of their home address.

Supporting young people through Scouting

The Trust aims to conserve and improve the River Sheaf and Porter Brook in Sheffield for the benefit of the public.

We provide a sustainable library service and community hub for the people of Stannington and its surrounding area, encouraging innovative use of the building and promoting lifelong learning, social and digital inclusion, and the celebration of reading.The library is staffed by volunteers. We host community groups, events and activities, and expand the book stock through grants and donations.

Scout Group

Advance the gospel of Jesus Christ and the beliefs and practices of the Christian faith and to promote such other charitable purposes as the trustees in their absolute discretion think fit.

The choir rehearses weekly and performs in public approximately 10 times each year. In so doing we are able to improve the musical knowledge and abilities of our members, foster public appreciation of choral music, and raise money for charitable musical causes.

Broomhill Community Trust operates from Broomhill Community Library, 10 Taptonville Road, Broomhill, Sheffield, S10 5BR. The Trust was established to progress the development of the library building and its heritage garden, and also now operates the volunteer-run Community Library services and activities. It raises funds through donations, grants and developed revenue streams.

To provide facilities/coaching and equipment so physically disabled people can play wheelchair basketball. The ages start from 6 yrs to 50+. Levels are beginners/recreational and competition (national league and international)The club raises awareness of disability through sport in and around the local community.

THE CHARITY PREMISES ARE USED BY VARIOUS COMMUNITY GROUPS FOR SPORTING AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES SUCH AS FOOTBALL, CRICKET, BOWLS, KARATE, KICKBOXING, CHEERLEADING AND TABLE TENNIS. THERE IS ALSO AN ANNUAL GALA DAY AND REGULAR CAR BOOT SALES. THE FUNCTION ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE FOR HIRE BY THE PUBLIC FOR THINGS SUCH AS PARTIES AND WEDDINGS AND THE SEPARATELY RUN SOCIAL CLUB WHICH IS ON SITE CAN PROVID

We are a disabled self-help group that run a series of day centres for all types of disabilities. Transport is provided to help them get to and from the centres. This in turn gets them out of their homes and to socialise with other disabled people in their area.

The education and training of young people (aged 10 to 18) in a range of activities and life skills. Some associated with sailing/boating and the traditions of the Royal Navy. Others involving climbing and other outdoor activities; music; computing; cookery skills; etc....
