Our Friends group exists to protect and improve Whirlow Brook Park and the surrounding woodland and waterways. Our income comes from membership fees, donations and grants and is used for: restoration of hard and soft landscaping; recreational activities for park users; and ecological and historical research. Our volunteers do most of the work, all for the benefit of the general public.

We have a number of disability exercise programmes running in the local community of Sheffield, catering for the long term ill health and disabled, this particularly includes provision for wheelchair bound individuals who want to improve their health. The main activities are that we have kept Bishops House open to the public each weekend, we have maintained a service to schools offering the children an opportunity to experience the House, we are now licensed for weddings nd we continue to host a wide variety of events.

We are a tenants & residents association, we provide activities and excursions through the year. Monday nights - console kidz, young children attend & play games for ages 4 yrs to 13 yrs. Wednesday nights - bingo, a wide range of people attend and play bingo, buy raffle tickets & have a drink & chat.
