Cursillo is a movement for Christian renewal. It is a Catholic movement to form leaders who grow through prayer, study & action to evangelise others for Christ.

The Eccles holds meetings on most Sundays in a local community centre for worship, prayer and teaching for all ages. There are smaller group meetings for young people and adults. These involve worship, prayer and discussion. The Eccles supports other local, national and international charities through direct involvement and financial support.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANISATION IS TO PROVIDE HARD TO REACH COMMUNITIES WITH ADVICE, INFORMATION RESOURCES, GUIDANCE & PRACTICAL SUPPORT TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH, KNOWLEDGE & WELFARE, EDUCATION AND LIVING STANDARDS. THE CHARITY IS ALSO AT THE FOREFRONT OF PROMOTING HUMANISM WITH ITS FAITH, ALEVISM.

Walkley Carnegie Library (WCL) provides a free library service for the benefit of people livingin Walkley and the surrounding areas, within Sheffield. WCL also run a selection of community activities and events within the library.

The Sheffield Recreation band was formed in 1900 and has a long history and heritage with the city centre of Sheffield and also the steel industry within the wider areas of the city, of which the band are very proud. In May 2025 the band will celebrate its 125th year. We have worked very hard to attract a wide age range within our band 13 years to over 70 years.

The Gatty Hall functions as the centre of village life for the community of Ecclesfield and the surrounding area. Weekly activities on offer are badminton, ballroom dancing, hand bell ringers, Brownies, Guides, playgroup, toddler & mums group, craft workshop, mothers union, ladies group, line dancing, dancing class, local M.P. monthly surgery and ad hoc bookings. To relieve the suffering of feral and or abandoned cats, particularly through the sterilisation of such animals. To ensure for these cats the population is controlled humanely and to educate and work with local groups and authorities.

Equine Pathways UK provides equine interactive sessions for children and adults, going through life changing and challenging situations.We off tailor made, individual and group sessions to our centre users, supporting people in need within the community.

To provide services to children who are in need, hardship or distress, sick, convalescent, handicapped or infirm within the boundaries of the City of Sheffield.

We offer Yasodhara Yoga classes, workshops, retreats and satsangs in the Vedanta tradition. Our deep spiritual and personal development focus was pioneered for westerners by Swami Sivananda Radha. We support teaching tours by swamis visiting Europe, and assist students wishing to study and work at Yasodhara Ashram, Canada. We also import and sell Yoga books and other teaching materials.

Parson Cross Initiative Projects is based in North East Sheffield. We create community and provide support for people living in our local area. We work in partnership with other organisations to provide services and support to people and to promote social justice and inclusion. We provide a range of activities: Community Cooking, Social Cafe, art and music groups and food support.

We are a charity setup to support a group of young people with various degrees of disabilities:We support them by running a building that supports there needs, as it is adapted.We meet Weekly as Youth Club for young people with disabilities.Teaching them life skills, cooking, team building,understanding of each other, applying for Funding to take them out and do the things we all take for granted

Supporting organisations to fund, promote, organise and/or host African heritage / Black British history themed events.

Baslow Choir is a mixed choir having in excess of 50 members. They perform a minimum of four concerts per year and actively encourage young and upcoming musicians to perform with them as guest artists.

Arts education and charity support.

We are an Associate Library completely run by volunteers. We have a number of activities ie a knit and natter group, a golden oldie coffee morning, toddlers story time, a mental health group and a Russian speaking group who all have weekly meetings in the library.

Scout group providing a service for local young people from the age of 6 years onwards.Activities include camping, climbing, cooking, sports. Our Headquarters is also available to the community for their use. Groups using the facilities include a Dog Club, Weight Watchers, Yoga, and Karate.
