Publication of monthly Village Magazine delivered to all 2500 homes in the area free of charge. Organisation of Social Events and Community activities, maintenance of flower beds in village, make grants to other organisations and individuals in line with Association's objectives.

Provision of almshouses

Executive Commitee for fundraising and purchase of equipment and training for leaders and members of 1st Shawbury Air Scout Group.

Performance and promotion of male voice choral music through concerts in Wales, the rest of Britain and Europe. Exchange visits with other male voice choirs. Assisting voluntary and charitable causes to raise funds for special projects.

Raising funds to support Norbury Primary School in its education and development of pupils

The trustees of Upton Magna Memorial Hall operate the facility for the hire & use by the local rural community.

Support for Scouting and Guiding activities

The orchestra meets regularly, every week during school term time, to give the opportunity for adults and children to play a musical instrument with others in an orchestral setting. Any person is welcome of any age and of any standard with any instrument. At least two concerts are given by the orchestra in a year. Concerts for charity have been given.

To provide support for people, community groups, small charities that require financial help to improve their quality of life through sickness, illness or poverty.

The hiring of the hall to individuals and organisations

Social, sport and recreational activities for the over 50's from the village and surrounding area. We also provide a building for use by a new Youth Group and for other charities and locals to use.

Providing building and recreational space for users

We run monthly Family epilepsy support meetings in the local area, which are designed to provide fun respite care to children who are affected by epilepsy, as well as support meetings for adults who are similarly affected. Our charity educates adults via our professional Epilepsy Awareness Training Programme, which aims to raise awareness of how epilepsy affects people socially and at work.

Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society operating in Market Drayton. Producing a pantomime, a play and a musical every year. We offer on-stage and back-stage activities for all members. We also run a Junior Theatre Workshop for young people aged 8 - 15, weekly during term time and a choir.

Social Aid supports charitable activities carried out in connexion with the Church of England in the Diocese of Hereford, particularly: the promotion of temperance and higher standards of moral life in individuals, family and community; the restoration of the intemperate or delinquent and those addicted to drugs, alcohol or gambling or otherwise needing help; the relief of the consequent distress.

St Martins Centre is run by volunteers, operating facilities for the benefit of the community of St Martins. These facilities include free computer access, rooms to rent for parties, classes, changing rooms and a base for the Youth Club.

During the year the Branch financed a range of activities for the Association and was involved with the supervision of welfare payments to ex-servicemen and their families in the Wolverhampton area.

We are the management committee of the community building, known as Stoke St Milborough Village Hall. We organise entertainment and fundraising events. The Hall is available for hire by other groups and individuals.
