A rural youth organisation for young people aged 10 to 26

To provide buildings & equipment for hire to groups, clubs, & the general public in Pontesbury & surrounding villages. The hall is used for plays, bowls, keep fit, slimming classes, broad place, dances, film shows, meetings, craft fairs, equine & computer classes, private parties.

Completed restoration of only remaining horse drawn Shropshire Union Fly Boat 'Saturn' in 2005. Promoting horse boating and using the boat as an educational resource for schools and the local communities along the Shropshire Union Canal.

Village Hall

Trustees will award grants of money (or pay for services, support or goods) to allow people with a learning disability to fulfil their dreams or aspirations and to improve the quality of their lives either individually or collectively. Individual beneficiaries must be resident in Shropshire.

1. Support for all the aims and activities of the Museum and Art Gallery in every way possible. 2. Provision of financial help for the acquisition of additions to the collections. 3. A series of seven lectures during the year. 4. About 3 outside trips per annum to museums, galleries, national trust properties etc.

Application of our Trust Fund monies to support pensioner, social and youth groups, and to promote reading skills in the Ellesmere area.Also, to support emergency aid appeals in the UK and beyond.

Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development, empowering them to make a positive contribution to society, guided by the Scouting values of Integrity, Respect, Care, Belief and Cooperation. We promote and provide scouting activities for young people, in partnership with adults in the Malpas and surrounding areas of South-West Cheshire.

Provides housing for elderly persons.

The Senior Club provides a comfortable and welcome meeting place available for all elderly people (aged 55 and over) in Wem and district. The Senior Club is used on most days of the week for a wide variety of activities, including coffee mornings, indoor bowls, talks, keep fit, bingo and social events. In addition,regular outings are arranged by the Club.

COMMUNITY VILLAGE HALL WORKING CLOSELY WITH HOLY TRINITY CHURCH AND THE LOCAL PRIMARY SCHOOL. THE HALL IS USED FOR MANY LOCAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDING KEEP FIT,WHIST DRIVES,BINGO AND MONEY RAISING EVENTS FOR THE CHURCH AND SCHOOL.FAMILY PARTIES AND CHILDRENS PARTIES ARE ALSO VERY POPULAR.THE HALL IS NOT "TOO BIG" AND HAS A GOOD ATMOSPHERE.WE HAVE BOOKINGS FROM A WIDE RADIUS OF WESTON LULLINGFIELDS.

Provides financial grants to PCCs in the Hereford Diocese and certain border parishes for the restoration of church bells for full-circle ringing.

Welfare of Shropshire Yeomanry Comrades.

The Mothers' Union exists to support Marriage and Family Life through prayer and practical support.Branches in Hereford Diocese meet regularly for prayer, fellowship, raising money for MU charities and engaging speakers.There are meetings and activities for the whole membership of the Diocese.Various outreach projects include supporting Marriage and giving holidays to families in need.

The objectives of the Society are to improve and further the advancement of agriculture by the promotion of its annual ploughing and hedging competitions. It helps protect some of the rural traditions of the countryside. We also give the opportunity for other organisations to promote themselves at our event.

Relief of sickness and poverty for the inhabitants of the Parish.

The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for:(a) meetings, lectures and classes, and(b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants.

The Friends of Castlefields School is a fundraising organisation made up of parents who meet roughly once a month to perform fundraising activities throughout the school year to raise money for educational activities & equipment for pupils and staff of Castlefields Primary School.

The Society encourages research and study into matters relating to Caughley porcelain and publishes the results in its newsletter, distributed free to members and lodged at key libraries and museums for public access. It also holds lecture meetings, open to members and to the public. In addition, it undertakes one-off projects such as exhibitions and the publication of a pattern book.

Provides and upkeeps a venue for members of the community to use for arts, sports, culture, leisure and other community events.

The promotion of community participation in healthy recreation, in particular by the provision of facilities for playing tennis for young people.
