Porthywaen band educates the public in the playing and appreciation of the musical arts, in particular brass band music, by the provision of tuition and public performance.

The relief of financial hardship amongst people in Shifnal, Shropshire and the surrounding area by:a) providing emergency food parcels, essential toiletries to individuals and families in need; andb) offering additional support in the way of signposting to other agencies and advisory services.

Events to raise money for Clive C of E Primary school. These include Christmas fete, tastebud night, summer bazaar, casino night and other similar events

Village Hall. Provides facilities for village organisations, eg. amateur drama group, indoor bowling, Art Group, Village Band rehearsals, functions and social events such as birthday parties, concerts, barn dances. Used as Council and General election centre and venue for public meetings. The hall is also a promoter for Arts Alive shows.

We run activities & events to support lifelong learning, culture or promote health and well being and raise funds to support and enhance the work of the Church Stretton library and information centre. We provide volunteers to support - but not replace - library staff and act as a link between the Church Stretton library service and the wider community.

The charity maintains the local village the hall for the use of groups - WI (or similar) or individual persons wishing to hold a private party in the Higher Heath area for personal (party, social event etc.) or fund raising purposes.

Ashley YFC is part of the Staffordshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, a rural youth Organisation for anyone aged between 10 and 28 years of age. The Club meet regularly in and around the Ashley District and organise a varied programme of events including sports, training, talks, discos and balls to name just a few!

MAINTENANCE OF VILLAGE HALL AND PLAY AREA

Newcastle Community Centre is the social centre of the village along with the local public house. We hold events such as dances, discos, concerts etc and the community uses it for weddings, funerals and other family events. We run various clubs and sporting activities and try to provide as many activities as we can for the local community.

The study and practice of Choral Music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by means of public preformance

To promote Brass Music by showcasing brass bands of all standards and abilities from the Shropshire area and further afield, in a non-competitive annual Festival. To encourage people of all ages and cultures to engage with brass band music both as a player or follower and those new to this type of music.

It provides a building to be used by mainly local residents for meetings, plays, clubs, functions, dances, meals etc. It is also used to raise money to meet local needs.

SMADA is a parent support group supporting music at the Academy. The Group's main aim is to raise funds to support all the bands within the Academy at the various concerts, events and festivals. Assistance is also given to students with music grade examination fees, present concerts in order to support musical development and assists other local organisations in their fundraising.

The provision of Festival Exhibitions covering information on other charities who may assist the general public in accessing help. Providing an Information Point to promote signposting.

School fetes, social events, raffles.

We raise funds from the general public for mainly local charitable purposes, and undertake other local community help.

We are a wheelchair rugby club. Wheelchair rugby is a sport for the disabled. Primarily tetraplegics or persons with upper and lower limb dysfunction. The club is open to all ages, male and female.We aim to provide an environment for the disabled to play sport for recreation or competitively.
