Relief in Need within parishes of Ludlow and Ludford

Maintains 4 Almshouses in Tong, Shropshire.Provides benefits to desrving & necessitous residents in the Parish of TongAssists residents under 21 living in the Parish of Tong to obtain some trade or occupation.

Provide financial assitance by way of grants to churches in the Salop Archdeaconry of the Diocese of Lichfield for the provision, maintenance and improvement of their bells and bell installations for full circle ringing.

To provide First Aid and support to the communities within Ashley and Loggerheads and the surrounding areas following a 999 call to West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust or its successors.To provide trained volunteers to attend medical incidents as directed by West Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust or its successors.

Fundraising and school community/social activities.

To raise funds for the pupils of Farlow School via our annual Grand Fete, tombolas, quizzes bingo etc. so that we can provde monies for among other things extra swimming lessons, transport for school trips, entry costs for school trips and gifts at certain times of the year.

Provides a physical resource for community groups and activities.

A social charity mainly aimed at older men. The activities are of a practical nature mainly centred around making and repairing things out of wood. The charity brings together men who have time on their hands and it helps men avoid loneliness, boredom and gives them a sense of purpose when they collaborate on making various things for the local community.

The trusts primary object is promotion of education of young people of Hopesay parish, but trustees may apply surplus funds for other charitable purposes within the parish.

Scout group - covering beavers, cubs, scouts and explorers, ages 6-14.

Provides meeting place for local organisations, eg WI, Parish Council, Local Brass Band practice venue. A communal place for the village to meet for social occasions. Also a venue for private hire for parties, Funeral wakes, meeting of Church Societies etc. The Parish Hall committee also holds various fund raising events each year including, Annual Scarecrow Competition etc.

VARIOUS SCHOOL FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES FOR HINSTOCK SCHOOL AND NURSERY

Our purpose is to educate about the Great War 1914-1918, and to remember those of all sides who fought in the conflict. Branch meetings are held every month in Wolverhampton which are open to all members of the public. Details of location, date and speaker can be found on the branch web site.

Applying the clear income of the Charity in or towards providing facilities for convalescence, rest and recreation and for the continuing education of nursing staff in the County of Shropshire in order to enable them to perform their duties more efficiently.
