The village hall provides a venue for a range of community activities including a Sewing Bee, Pilates classes, Flicks in the Sticks, Annual Fete, Parish Lunch, Harvest Festival etc

FUNDS HAVE BEEN RAISED FOR THE PURCHASE OF THE CASTLE AND ITS SURROUNDING EARTHWORKS. PURCHASE WAS COMPLETED ON 15.09.2008 AND WORK HAS BEGUN TO REPAIR THE MONUMENT SO AS TO MAKE IT AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC. THIS HAS BEEN POSSIBLE LARGELY AS A CONSEQUENCE OF GRANTS FROM HERITAGE LOTTERY FUND AND ENGLISH HERITAGE, PLUS SHROPSHIRE COUNCIL. COMPLETION OF WORKS WAS SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER 2011.

Raising money to enhance the learning and playtime activities of Adderley Primary School in North Shropshire

The charities activities are based around fundraising events to support the children with physical and associated sensory difficulties at Penn Hall School. All monies raised go directly to the provision of equipment, activities and opportunities for the children aged 3 - 19 who attend Penn Hall School.

Offer help and support to stroke survivors, their carers and family. Activities include weekly exercise session and mutual support. Aim to enable survivors to lead as normal life as possible by organising regular outings. Meals, gliding, sports day are a few of the activities we offer. We also provide information to improve the treatment of strokes and the subsequent rehabilitation.

Education

We work to protect historic gardens and designed landscapes throughout Shropshire. We organise lectures and visits to parks and gardens, publish a magazine and carry out research into historic parks and gardens. We are a statutory consultee for works affecting parks and gardens in Shropshire. We welcome new members.

Grants for education (including religious, social and physical aspects) to Pontesbury Church of England Primary School and its pupils, and to young people under the age of 25 living in the parish or having been pupils at the school, and including the ecclesiastical parish of Minsterley.

Cleobury Mortimer Men's Shed (CMMS) aims to combat loneliness and isolation in men over 18 and alleviate the associated health conditions, including mental health issues, faced by men. We provide a safe, purpose built workshop, built by the charity where men can work, learn and share their knowledge working shoulder to shoulder.

This Charity operates under the normal directives of ROTARY making donations to local worthwhile causes and to disaster events abroad. All donations are sanctioned by the Rotary Club of Newport Shropshire
