Dreadnought promotes the voices of women through the arts and engages with women of all ages and backgrounds. Dreadnought make special efforts to engage with women who may be isolated for social, geographic, cultural and/or economic reasons. We are a bowling club which provides for the community a service for all ages, the service being bowling and leisure facilities.

Help for Homeless provides vital support to the homeless on the streets of towns or cities in the South West. With help from its network of volunteers help for HOMELESS goes onto the streets and distributes from a van essentials including; bedding, tents, clothing, sanitaryware and food.

Promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Somerset and the surrounding area, the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the condition of life of the said inhabitants.

We are a committee led Pre-School employing 5 part-time staff who provide an educational, safe environment for children aged 2 to 5 years. The committee is voluntary, members arrange fundraising events throughout the year to provide new resources, trips and parties for the children. This ensures good early years education.

A not-for-profit cat rescue group run by volunteers. We rescue and, if possible, re-home ill-treated and unwanted domestic and feral cats and kittens, and those who are elderly, with special needs and FIV+. We are a "no kill" organisation and if a cat is unhomeable due to age, temperament or health condition we keep that cat in care for the duration of its life.

VILLAGE PRE-SCHOOL, PROVIDING PRE-SCHOOL CHILDCARE FOR CHILDREN AGED 2 - 4.THIS SETTING IS BASED IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM OF THE SCHOOL AND OFFERS ACTIVITIES BASED AROUND THE EYFS STATUTORY GUIDANCE, INCLUDING PERSONAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS, PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT, LANGUAGE, BOOKS, PUZZLES,CONSTRUCTION AND NUMEROUS ACTIVITIES BASED AROUND AREAS OF LEARNING.

The village hall comprises internally 3 halls, stage, kitchen and toilets, and externally an annexe, a childrens play park, playing field and car park. The internal facilities and annexe are hired to a wide range of regular user groups, and also to individuals and organisations for concerts, meetings, parties and wedding receptions. The external facilities are available to all at no charge.

The church holds services for public worship and Christian teaching at its premises in Parkhouse Road, Minehead, usually twice each Sunday. There are also midweek meetings for bible study and prayer, and social gatherings for all ages.

Recognised life skills are learnt by members who run their own clubs, chairing meetings, secretarial duties, treasurer duties and programme planning are just a few. Training and achievements in public speaking,sports and the arts are within the structured sports and competitions programme.
