ELM Wildlife rescue and rehabilitates British wildlife, primarily hedgehogs but we do take other wildlife when space allows; we medicate and house all casualties. Our capacity at the moment is 220 animals, we are supported by a team of over 100 volunteers and we are open 365 days a year. We are a Foodbank and hold the Trussell Trust franchise for Bridgwater. We issue our Red Vouchers to 39 agencies in and around Bridgwater the CAB, Housing Associations, Social Services, Primary Schools, Salvation Army etc etc.If the holders see a family in need they offer the person in crisis one of our Red Vouchers, they then bring the voucher to us and we give food in exchange.

The trustees follow a general policy of distributing the trust's income whilst maintaining the substance of the trust's investments to enlarge its grant-giving potential.

The charity has twelve properties referred to as almshouses. The almshouses are for long-term residents of Shepton Mallet and immediate surrounds, preferably aged over 55 whose circumstances require a move to sheltered accommodation; if younger, a higher level of need has to be established.

The station provides people with the opportunity to learn radio skills and present programmes. We play a mix of popular music and broadcast 24/7 which includes a service of local community news/information. We support the economy of Yeovil and South Somerset by offering radio advertising to local businesses at affordable rates.
