Wellington Museum Society collects artefacts, documents and illustration about the town and its area of influence. The collection is used to inform visitors of the town's history and its place in the world. The society also publishes booklets on local history.

W.S.Mare Guiding is led by volunteers who provide an exciting and varied programme for girls from 4 to 18 yrs. They go on holidays in Britain and abroad. Activities include art/craft, music, archery, environmental awareness and community help, camping and team work.

We are a committee led Pre-School employing 5 part-time staff who provide an educational, safe environment for children aged 2 to 5 years. The committee is voluntary, members arrange fundraising events throughout the year to provide new resources, trips and parties for the children. This ensures good early years education.

To promote for the residents and surrounding area a public library for recreation and/or other leisure occupation in the interest of social welfare. To listen & talk with persons who are suicidal or in a state of emotional distress who are resident in the Taunton & Somerset area but not exclusively to that area. The volunteers are selected and trained to undertake the sensitive task of listening to callers and help them resolve their issues in accordance with laid down procedures.

The PTA run various events throughout the year for the sole purpose of raising money to buy school equipment.

The charity continues to raise funds to help underprivileged children by means of social events, auctions, raffles & donations. The main beneficiaries are individual needy children and schools.

STAGES AMATEUR LIGHT OPERA PRODUCTIONS/MUSICALS; FUND RAISING IN RESPECT OF THIS MAIN ACTIVITY.

Bath Opera members live within travelling distance to the city of Bath and wish to sing in opera or help put on operatic productions. The amateur society puts on a fully staged production at the end of February and a smaller scale opera on a summer tour in June and July. THE ASSOCIATION HAS BEEN TEACHING YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 8 -18 YEARS HOW TO SAIL FOR OVER 50 YEARS. WE OPERATE THREE EVENINGS A WEEK FOR A 26 WEEK SEASON. EACH EVENING YOUNG SAILORS TAKE TO THE WATER UNDER THE SUPERVISION OF A RYA SENIOR INSTRUCTOR AND A TEAM OF HIGHLY QUALIFIED INSTRUCTORS. TEACHING CONSISTS OF WATER TUITION AND CLASSROOM WORK. SAILING IS FUN!
