The Society organises a series of concerts in the last week of July in each year and sometimes in the winter to raise funds for the July week. We have our own visiting orchestra and chamber group and also arrange a recital given by a talented local young performer.

ENMORE MEMORIAL HALL IS A MEDIUM-SIZED COUNTRY VILLAGE HALL CATERING FOR THE SOCIAL NEEDS OF THE VILLAGE. APART FROM REGULAR WEEKLY & MONTHLY BOOKINGS THE HALL IS AVAILABLE FOR INDIVIDUAL BOOKINGS FROM OUTSIDE THE VILLAGE.

The Ilchester Nature Trust carries out the following activities in furtherance of its charitable objectives:- planting of trees and other activities that improve the natural environment- working with the local community, particularly Ilchester Primary School, to promote understanding of, and participation in, the natural environment.

To provide facilities to support and encourage community life in the area of interest - the villages of Mudford, Chilton Cantelo and Ashington in Somerset.

To advance the study of spelaeology and associated sciences, and to promote the conservation of caves and their environment for the benefit of the public.

The charity makes grants to specific charities named in the trust deed. Grants are not made to other bodies.

To provide bursaries and awards to the sons and daughters of farmers or farm workers or students who can demonstrate commitment to the dairy industry and show aptitude to add value to the industry in Cornwall, Devon Somerset and Dorset who are to study a dairy-related topic at tertiary level, or equivalent.

Merriott Village Hall provides and maintains a spacious and well-equipped Hall for the enjoyment of the inhabitants of Merriott and the surrounding area. The hall is used regularly by badminton groups, pilates, yoga, exercise classes, baby classes, short mat bowling, ballroom dancing, children's dance classes and bridge. It is regularly used for occasional events such as weddings and parties.

To maintain the village hall and playing field to a high standard and promote the use of all available facilities

Provision of accommodation, mainly for church staff.

The Charity provides accommodation for women only (and their children).

Provision of a venue (Village Hall) for activities within the Parish of West Camel

Public worship; Pastoral care; Coffee Mornings and other special events; Visiting the sick; Home visiting; Instruction in the Christian faith; Maintaining Langford Chapel and its grounds for these and other activities.

Provision of low cost housing for the elderly

Provision of a village hall for use by the community, together with a children's play area and playing field.

We meet up regularly on Sundays for worship and teaching and have other meetings during the week such as cell group and prayer meetings.Other activities include ladies group, baptism and discipleship classes, conference attendance and in house training for outreach.

The Band aims to entertain and educate the public, through the promotion of the practice of Brass Band Music. In addition, it acts in support of such other charities as its Trustees decide. Any person may apply to become a Member. Implicit with that Membership is the expectation that the Member will be willing and eligible to play at Contests entered by the Band.

To advance the Christian faith for the benefit of the public throughout North Somerset in line with the principles of the Baptist denomination, by providing facilities and support through outreach and pastoral care to the local community

The trust receives donations and legacies, invests unused income and disburses funds exclusively for the preservation and conservation of the fabric of Wells Cathedral.
