Merriott Village Hall provides and maintains a spacious and well-equipped Hall for the enjoyment of the inhabitants of Merriott and the surrounding area. The hall is used regularly by badminton groups, pilates, yoga, exercise classes, baby classes, short mat bowling, ballroom dancing, children's dance classes and bridge. It is regularly used for occasional events such as weddings and parties.

To maintain the village hall and playing field to a high standard and promote the use of all available facilities

Fundraising activities to aid the PCC of Hardington Vale with the upkeep of St. Leonard's Church Farleigh Hungerford and the churchyard.

Provision of accommodation, mainly for church staff.

Funding charitable causes.

Public worship; Pastoral care; Coffee Mornings and other special events; Visiting the sick; Home visiting; Instruction in the Christian faith; Maintaining Langford Chapel and its grounds for these and other activities.

We meet up regularly on Sundays for worship and teaching and have other meetings during the week such as cell group and prayer meetings.Other activities include ladies group, baptism and discipleship classes, conference attendance and in house training for outreach.

Our Festival organises Music, Dance and Speech and Drama festivals , competitions and other occasional concerts and events for the people of Taunton and its locality.

The Trustees administer the use of the village recreation ground and Sports Pavilion for the benefit of the village & particularly the young people of the village.

The Trust is an element within Rotary in Britain & Ireland, formed to guide and train Rotarians & Inner Wheelers to form units capable of assisting the civil authorities when voluntary organisation are called to assist in the event of emergencies.

To advance the education of the public in Somerset in science,technology, mathematics and engineering (STEM) and to promotepublic engagement in all aspects of STEM developments for thepublic benefit.

The trust receives donations and legacies, invests unused income and disburses funds exclusively for the preservation and conservation of the fabric of Wells Cathedral.

Assisting the emergency services and local communities in the Wessex region (Wiltshire, Dorset, Avon and Somerset) by providing logistical support. Volunteer drivers donate their time and vehicles to assist in times of need. We provide critical transport when contingency plans fail - such as the transport of nurses through snow to get to patients.We are able to transport people or equipment.

The centre is a meeting place where children of separated families can enjoy contact with one (or both) parents, and sometimes other family members in a comfortable and safe environment.

Langport Young Peoples Centre (LYPC), also known locally as Langport and Huish Episcopi Youth Group (LHYG) provide recreational and leisure time activities for young people (range 8-25 yrs) in the Langport, Huish Episcopi and wider community with varied weekly and monthly sessions that offer life skills (eg cooking, go girls), sport, craft, community projects (town flags), war hammer.

Provides facilities for recreational activities for the local residents.

Design, building and upkeep of the railway's infrastructure. Construction and maintenance of various locomotive types and rolling stock. Educational talks for members. Education and training of young people in the building and running the railway. Public running days for members of the public. Open Weekends for members of other model engineering societies.

To establish and run a village hall and playing field and to promote, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the village of Galhampton and the surrounding area, the provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time occupation.

A rural youth movement for young people aged 10-26 years. Members can gain recognised skills and confidence in many activities such as public speaking, drama and entertainments, sports, stock-judging and stock presentation. The opportunity to travel and to attend meetings to arrange fundraising for their clubs and the local community. This is a member led organisation.
