The Open Award Centre delivers all levels of the Duke of Edinburgh's Award in Gillingham North Dorset, under the DofE operating licence held by Dorset Council. Membership is open to any young person from the age of 14 to 25 years old. It is led entirely by volunteers and fund raises in order to fulfil operating needs and to enable unrestricted access to the programme regardless of income.

Provides social activities for adults with learning disabilities. Gives grants to individuals and groups providing services for people with learning disabilities. Provides advice, advocacy and information to people with learning disabilities.

We work to our Constitution and provide fundraising for our charity - school - and allocate funds to the school by elected Committee.

The Trust provides financial grants to Long Sutton Primary School in the county of Somerset to supplement the support provided by the Local Authority or State, with the purpose of:1/ improving the educational facilities at the school, eg fabric of the buildings, furniture, IT equipment etc..2/ improving the educational resources3/ provide extra-curricular activities

General Charitable Purposes

We support the local community through the hospital. We receive monies/fund raise from the community which we reinvest into the hospital and associated units.

We support local families and individuals facing financial hardship. We ask the local community for donations of food and household items which we give to individuals and families that have been identified through schools, referrals and local services. All donations are sorted through and distributed from the trustee homes.

Walton Womens Institute provides opportunities locally for women in the fields of education, sport, recreation and crafts. It provides opportunity for friendship, competition, theatre, outings and work to benefit the community.

To help in the provision of playing fields for all sections of the community and in particular properly equipped children's playgrounds.To protect existing recreational land.To provide advice to individuals, voluntary organisations and local authorities on the acquisition, layout and use of playing fields.To encourage the fullest use of all recreational facilities.

PARENT TEACHER ASSOCIATION UNDERTAKING FUND RAISING ACTIVITIES TO BENEFIT THE SCHOOLS PUPILS

In accordance with the will of the late Ethel Amy Pople, the charity provides financial assistance to the elderly and/or infirm of Cocklake, Crickham, Clewer and Wedmore (all of which are in Somerset).

Limited activities - raises money via gift aid donations from parents and friends of the school

The main activity of this charity has for many years been to provide a recreation ground, used by the public, the local primary school and local football and cricket clubs, and for village events. We also host recycling facilities.
