Friends of Shipham Schools (FOSS) provide facilities or equipment that support Shipham First School and Preschool and advance pupils' education. This is achieved through fundraising activities and events involving teachers, parents, and families associated with the school and the wider community. FOSS operates in Shipham.

The AHCF aims to relieve financial hardship and improve the education of children and young people suffering from any form of poverty, illness or disability, in the UK and abroad. We give small grants and keep overheads to minimum. We raise money anyway by anyone. e.g. sewing educational displays. Stewarding volunteers at Glastonbury Festival make a great contribution to our funds.

Trinity school association carries out a variety of activities throughout the school year including a summer and Christmas fair. They also take every opportunity to raise money via grants etc. This is all done locally for Holy Trinity C of E school.

Save lives and mitigate damage during a flood incident or incident occurring at inland floods, or in the immediate vicinity of a flood.2. Assist in the search for missing people in or near water

Provides a playing field for rugby, football and cricket and other recreational uses.

Programme of three natural therapies - nutrition, massage and imagery for an average of three sessions for optimum/successful results. Children aged 2-22 suffering any condition or symptoms. Families attend from the south west. Also provides resources, talks and training.

The Charity aims to support the work of the West Mendip Hospital by supporting the staff and patients through the provision of equipment, services and training grants.

Support for the villagers through - raising funds for the village through a Biennial fete and running a 100 club and other social events to allow the promotion of an annual firework display, annual Easter egg hunt, Senior Citizens Christmas Dinner, monthly walks and talks, 2 village Christmas trees, donations to local groups - including our school and maintainence of the village common.
