We raise money including the application of funds to further the aims of the Charity. We use the funds appropriately to best further these aims. We meet monthly to agree how best to achieve these actions. At these meetings we agree which further funds to apply for or how best to raise money and awareness of the Charity.

The Trust works closely with Plymouth Social Isolation Forum to find novel ways to bring isolated and lonely people together at Thorn Park Lodge. It also runs recall reminiscence sessions, practical science-based workshops, helps raise children's aspirations in novel ways. It has a pharmaceutical museum, library, a medicinal garden and is planning an exciting Heritage Health Science Exploratory.

Friends of North Curry School works to develop more extended relationships between staff, parents, the children and the local community. It participates in and delivers activities which support the school and engages the children in learning. It provides and assists in the provision of equipment, experiences and resources to improve the environment for the children or to advance their education.

The Charity was set up to provide financial support for poor widows living in the Parish of Catcott. It's brief has been extended over the years to provide support for the poor and elderly in the immediate area, particularly at Christmas time.

To run and maintain Ashbrittle Village Hall, raising money and spending it for the good of the community

Maintenance of a registry of all caves, mines and other associated locations within our area.Maintenance of an archive of all information relating to the above, including but not limited to photographs, surveys, logbooks and bibliographies.Collating and publishing the above information to make it available for the purposes of research, education, sport and general interest.

SIAS seeks to advance the education of the public in all aspects of industrial archaeology in and around Somerset. Talks are held fortnightly from October to March. Field Trips take place each summer with a programme of day, half-day and evening visits to place of industrial and historic interest. Fieldwork takes place when the opportunity arises. Members receive a Bulletin three times a year.

Kingsmoor Friends is a school support group based at Kingsmoor Primary School as a registered charity to which all governors, staff, parents and members of the school community are invited to participate. Fundraising events include discos, bingo, Christmas and Summer fairs to which in turn funds educational visits for the children of Kingsmoor and other school projects.

The purpose of The Somerset Military Museum is to collect, document, preserve, display and provide access to material relating to The Somerset Light Infantry and its successor and antecedent regiments including Somerset's Yeomanry, and to use and interpret this material for the education and benefit of members of the public of all ages and backgrounds and those within the Armed Forces.

The advancement of Christ's kingdom among Boys and the promotion of habits of obedience, reverence, discipline, self-respect and all that tends towards a true christian manliness.

A large member led rural club open to anyone with members aged between 10 & 28 years. Members participate in a wide range of activities such as sports, entertainments & drama, carnival, public speaking competitions, cattle showing and stockjudging, skills for life training, fundraising & social events.

THE OBJECT OF THE CHARITY SHALL BE TO PROMOTE THE EDUCATION OF CHILDREN AND YOUNG PERSONS WHO ARE RESIDENT AT YEOVIL AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD THEREOF IN THE HISTORY, ARCHAEOLOGY AND ANTHROPOLOGY OF YEOVIL AND THE SOUTH AND WEST PARTS OF THE COUNTRY OF SOMERSET.

Group analysis is a way of understanding the dynamics of groups-including family groups, and increasing the well being of their members. GASW provides both group analytic psychotherapy in statutory & voluntary sector agencies for the benefit of mental health service users, and training at different levels for cliniciants and managers wishing to develop their knowledge of group analysis.

Our charity assesses requests from various agencies regarding people living in street who need financial assistance.

SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL MEETINGS; FUND-RAISING EVENTS

44 members. Celebrated Old Sodbury WI 100th birthday. Supported local charities through speakers. Enjoyed social events and outings. Two members took up Denman College bursaries and several members attended courses. A successful year.

We have a meeting once a month where we have guest speakers giving us talks on various garden subjects. We do not hold a meeting in August or December. We have a flower show once a year in August which is for the people of Minehead and surrounding towns - not just for the garden club members. There are various activities during the year, such as visits to gardens.
