Provision, at its purpose built residential centre, of free & highly subsidised respite and educational breaks for disadvantaged children from Bristol and the surrounding area.

Prime purpose of Society is the relief of financial hardship, sickness and ill health amongst elderly people in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire and also the advancement of health, the relief of poverty and the advancement of education in this area

We provide care support and resettlement to local homeless young people to help them find and maintain independent accommodation.

Provides Jewish educational, cultural and social programming and student support services in Bristol and the South West region.

We give in the main to charities whose primary object is to help people who are under privileged, disadvantaged, suffering or ill; young people in matters of accommodation or training; and old people requiring assistance or medical care at the end of their lives. We do not give to national charities and have a strong preference for small local charities within the Bristol area.

We support the development of voluntary and community organisations in South Gloucestershire. We encourage networking and partnership building to share information, skills and knowledge. We provide training and fundraising advice and support the governance of our members. We enable representation of the sector to ensure their views are taken into account.

Bristol Spear oversees the running of the Spear Centre in Bristol. In joint venture partnership with Resurgo Trust, Bristol Spear runs a free twelve-month programme beginning with an intensive six-week foundation phase aimed at getting disadvantaged young people (16-24) year olds ready for work, followed by support to find work or relevant further training.

Advance the faith, doctrine and practices of the parent church namely ' Mar Thoma Church' for the benefit of its members and the public and to do all charitable work allowed under the law.

Projects designed to improve aspiration, achievement and attainment in schools

The PCC of Yate New Town supports the activities of the Anglican parish of Yate and includes the activities of the four churches, St, Mary's Yate, St Nicholas Yate, St Peter's Wapley and St James Westerleigh. The activities include the day to day running of the four churches and and their fund-raising.

RELIGIOUS ACTIVITIES

We run two community based time banks which meet everyday needs through sharing time, skills and opportunities. Participants help out in their local community, using their skills to provide services for others. Every hour participating earns one credit that can be used to access support from other participants.We also run timebanking and Peer maths mentoring in prisons.

SUPPORT THE PROMOTION OF COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION IN HEALTHY RECREATION IN OLDLAND AND HANHAM ABBOTS PARISHES AND THE IMMEDIATE VICINITY BY THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS AND SOCIAL INTERACTION CAPABLE OF PROMOTING FITNESS, PHYSICAL AND MENTAL HEALTH BENEFITS (FACILITIES MEANS LAND, BUILDINGS, EQUIPMENT AND ORGANISING SPORTING ACTIVITIES).

Religious Services and Activies

The charity promotes racial and religious respect and trust by facilitating interaction between people of different cultures and faiths. Activities include:- events that bring people together from different communities- connecting people seeking sanctuary with settled communities - training to educate and equip bridge builders

Our activities are to provide a fully functional community centre for the community as a whole to access.

Phase 5 Pre-School is community based which is led by a voluntary committee.We aim to offer and provide quality childcare for children aged between 2 years to 4 years in a safe, secure and stimulating environment which is warm and friendly and run by a high quality staff team.We work with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework which ensures equality for all children and families.

Provide a safe secure stimulating environment, indoors and out for children two to five years of age to learn through play within the guidelines of the new EYFS with qualified caring staff, and to work with the childrens families and carers as we operate as an inclusive practice.

First Step Pre-school Ltd is based in Thornbury, near Bristol, and we run pre-school sessions for children from age 2 up to 5 years. We are based the site of a local primary school Crossways Infant School. Our staff are well-qualified, dedicated and enthusiastic, and we have a fantastic range of facilities.

The Keepers is a community hub supporting the needs of residents of Wotton and surrounding areas, helping them to be more connected to the services, groups and professionals that can provide support for health, wellbeing or financial hardship issues. We host a number of professional organisations and classes, run our own drop-in cafe and community garden, and have a dry food store and freezer.

Assistance of those with Cerebral Palsy and their carers resident in the greater Bristol area so as to enable them to live as independently and fully as possible

Teaching about Christian faith and action in the UK and overseas so as to promote activity within churches that demonstrates biblically authentic faith, and relieving poverty in the UK and particularly in the developing world (currently mostly India and Zambia) through support of social care and health programmes, education and vocational training.

To promote, support and deliver tennis playing opportunities for all members of the public in our unitary authority areas of Bath & NE Somerset, Bristol City, North Somerset, and South Gloucestershire, and to make it inclusive and appealing to all sections of the community. To do this we engage with Tennis Clubs, Education Establishments, other Venues, Qualified Coaches, and run Competitions.

The Church provides buildings and facilities for religious activities, social and educational activities for children/young people, older people, people with disabilites, people from ethnic backgrounds etc. We provide human resources through our Minister, Elders and Pastoral Care Worker. We provide finance to support a School in Uganda, other Baptist acitivities at home and abroad.
