Take Heart was established to help relieve sickness and protect health among persons suffering from heart disease and to promote the advancement of education in heart disease, its causes and implications. In particular it promotes the welfare and care of cardiac patients at home and in hospital and provides social and personal contact with people who share and understand a patient's needs.

Provide Support, Advice and Activities for families with children who have any level of hearing loss.

Propagation of christian faith.

To contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities.

Fund raising

The Hindu Dharma Society (HDS) was created in 1990 in Brentwood, Essex. 29 years on, we are still standing, promoting our culture and faith. The society consists of people of all ages and is open to all. The majority of functions are based in Essex but members are located all over!The society runs solely on donations and we hope to eventually have a base of our own.

The Grove House School Parents, Teachers and Friends Association raises money to spend on new equipment and resources for the school and to enhance the pupils' education. We promote closer links between home and school and organise events that bring staff, parents, pupils and friends together in support of the school.

We raise funds to relieve hardship and suffering for children and young people in the County of Essex and in Europe. We are all serving or retired firefighters and we use our unique public image to raise the profile of those requiring financial or material support, to enhance the quality of life of children of all ages.

Southend Wind Orchestra was founded in 2002, and has built a reputation for excellence. Members come from south-east Essex, and range from school pupils through to senior citizens! We give concerts at venues around South Essex with a varied and challenging repertoire. Playing standards are a minimum of grade 6 for rank and file players, principals must be at least grade 8.

SUPPORT ASIAN WOMEN IN THE ESSEX COUNTY IN PARTICULAR BUT WITHOUT LIMITATIONS BY(A) ADVANCEMENT OF EDUCATION INCLUDING, BUT NOT EXCLUSIVELY, THE BREAKDOWN OF BARRIERS TO EMPLOYMENT.(B) HEALTH AWARENESS, EXERCISE CLASSES, SOCIAL CARE FACILITIES AND SUPPORT FOR DOMESTIC VIOLENCE VICTIMS.(C) THE PROVISION OF CHARITABLE ADVICE AND ASSISTANCE, WHICH DIRECTLY RELIEVES THE NEED OF BENEFICIARES.

Provide support, friendship and comfort by way of social activities for people who have suffered a stroke or strokes within the area of the Borough of Southend-on-Sea.

Raise funds for the benefit of Jewish Care to be used for:Jewish CareJewish Care's day centre Southend and Westcliff Jewish Community Centre, 1 Cobham Road,Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex.The benefit of elderly Jewish people in need who live in the Southend area.

The scheme provides that the clear income of the Charity is to be used to make grants to Free Church Ministers, being ministers who require or desire a temporary rest from active work or for the enhancement of their ministry.

To assist and support past and present members of the Parachute Regiment and Airborne Forces

To preserve for the benefit of the people of South Essex and the nation, the historical, architectural and constructional heritage that may exist in and around South Essex in buildings (including any structure or erection, and any part of a building as so defined) of particular beauty or historical, architectural or constructional interest.

Actvities and training for young people aged between 4 and 18. Training for Officers and helpers.

THE CHARITY PROVIDES A SCHOLARSHIP TO SINGERS WHO WIN THE FREDA PARRY SCHOLARSHIP FUND COMPETITION.

We help to coordinate and develop counselling and therapy services in Southend and Essex. We do this by carrying out various activities such as newsletters, network meetings, organise and run public mental health events, promote marketing and giving information and advise to the public and professionals.

To promote any charitable purposes for the benefit of persons of Bangladeshi origin resident in Essex including the relief of poverty, the advancement of education and the provision of facilities for recreation and leisure-time occupation in the interests of social welfare and with the object of improving the conditions of lire of such persons

Organise access to French language classes and cultural events for children issued from francophone families and living in the area covered by Southend on Sea Borough Council to develop understanding of francophone language, cultures, traditions.

KINGSDOWN SCHOOL IS FOR PUPILS WITH SEVERE LEARNING DIFFICULTIES, PROFOUND AND MULTIPLE DIFFICULTIES, PHYSICAL DISABILITIES AND ASSOCIATED LEARNING DIFFICULTIES.THE OBJECT OF THE ASSOCIATION IS TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUPILS BY PROVIDING AND ASSISTING IN THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR EDUCATION (NOT NORMALLY PROVIDED BY THE LOCAL AUTHORITY).

We provide hospitality teas for those groups visiting the Southend On Sea area (max 50 persons).

Essex Pride is an annual celebration of LGBT plus life in Essex and beyond. This is an event for the whole community, and pride inspires everyone to embrace equality and demonstrates that people from all walks of life can join together and celebrate diversity.
