Friends of John of Rolleston Primary Schools' primary aim is to raise funds to make a difference to our childrens schooling, and to provide those little extras that would otherwise not be possible.

Harrisons is an old miners welfare formed 100 years ago. It provides sports facilities, in particular a bowling green and football pitches, together with a licenced club house where members meet for social occasions. There is a children's adventure playground.

We offer a regular Sunday Spiritualist Service. We also offer workshops on matters related to Spiritualism and hold a regular circle to allow people to experience and/or develop their possible mediumship. We also offer Spiritual Healing

Village Hall

Picknalls PTA raises funds to benefit each and every child in the school through a variety of events such as Christmas and Summer Fayre, discos, film shows, tea parties, activity days, themed evenings, bring and buy sales in addition to raffles and sposnsored events.Funds are used to provide essential and supplementary educational resources as well as equipment for extra curricular activites.

Facilitating and organising football for the children of North Staffordshire and South Cheshire, with an emphasis on inclusion.

Our group operates according to the scout policy, organisation and rules (P.O.R.) book.

Rotary Club

The hall itself has continued to be well utilised, mainly by the uniformed groups. We completed the build with external cladding and the porch area. The centre continues to run on bookings income, with no major grants or donations, which shows that the hall is financially viable. Maintenance of £5000 is now reserved in accounts and we are looking to see if funds a rates reduction for parish users

The study and practice of choral music in order to foster public knowledge and appreciation of such music by means of public performance and to enable the choir to assist and support charitable institutions or purposes as the committee shall from time to time determine.

Providing sporting opportunities for young people throughout the county of Staffordshire to enable them to compete in Track and Field and Cross Country at district, county and national level

Community transport scheme - taking people to doctors, hospital, shopping & social clubs. Luncheon clubs for local socially isolated. Special needs club. Drop in coffee shop.

Pays grants within the trustees discretion to or for the benefit of such exclusively charitable objects and purposes, within a radius of 40 miles of Rocester, England or in any other part of the UK and the rest of the world as the trustees shall in their discretion think fit.

Raising money for additional facilities and activities within school

The Sea Cadets has been in the Stoke on Trent area since 1938 providing activities for young people from 9-18 years old. As a micro-charity we provide these young people with activities and qualifications in Kayaking, Canoeing, Power boating, Sailing, First Aid, Cook Steward, Seamanship, Shooting, Engineering, Field Craft, Duke of Edinburgh. Recognised qualifications can by gained i.e. BTech's

Raise funds from the public by holding events and taking part in other organisations events to enable us to help those in need

Provision & maintenance of a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of the Parish of Colton with out distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use of meetings,lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants

To assist aged or distressed persons male or female professing the Protestant religion belonging to the upper or middle classes of society provided that such persons shall have been reduced to poverty by misfortune and not by their own improvidence or neglect. Special regard is to be shown to the claims of widows and daughters of Clergymen of the Church of England.

Fund is to assist aged or distressed persons male or female belonging to the upper or middle classes of society and being natives of the Counties of Staffordshire or Worcestershire or who shall for ten years or upwards have resided in one or other of those Counties provided that such persons shall have been reduced to poverty by misfortune and not by their own improvidence or neglect.
