To provide opportunities to address the educational, developmental and leisure needs of the young people and wider community of Newport Shropshire and District by establishing an indoor meeting place for the promotion of informal social education and within the building a volunteer lead cafe which will provide work experience opportunities including those living with disabilities

The objects of the charity are to provide full day-care provision for children from the age of 2 to school age.

The principle activity is the management of accommodation and the delivery of support services to clients housed in that accommodation thereby preventing rough sleeping and alleviating homelessness. This will help to prevent fatalities and reduce health problems which would otherwise impact on acute and mental health services. The trustees have had regard to the public benefit guides PB1,2 and 3.

To provide a place of worship and education

We support disadvantaged women and families by inspiring, encouraging and motivating them to overcome barriers to improve the quality of their lives.We aim to relieve hardship,poverty and ill health amongst Women and families by providing charitable support in particular through education, advice and guidance, career advice, information services, advocacy, mentoring and counselling services.

The League of Friends helps to support the Newport Cottage Care Centre, Upper Bar, Newport. Shropshire - also finance the xray unit at the care centre with the proceeds of a charity shop in Baddeley Court, Newport.

Promoting and undertaking the restoration of the Shrewsbury Canal and the Newport branch of the Shropshire Union Canal to good and navigable order, including associated structures and buildings, for the benefit of the public.

Provides information, advice and support to older people and those who have an interest in older people who live in and around Telford & Wrekin

The object of WORCESTERSHIRE & SHROPSHIRE Area Meeting is the furtherance of the general religious and charitable purposes of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) in Britain in the area of WORCESTERSHIRE & SHROPSHIRE Area Meeting and beyond.

SLS's aim is to improve the quality of life of visually impaired people of all ages who live in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin by helping visually impaired people to cope with their sight loss and the difficulties this imposes on their daily lives, raising awareness of sight loss and acting as a local champion for visually impaired people.

A) TO ADVANCE THE CHRISTIAN FAITH FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT THROUGH THE PROVISION OF FACILITIES FOR PUBLIC WORSHIP, PRAYER AND EVANGELISM, PRIMARILY IN TELFORD, AND THEREAFTER FURTHER AFIELD; ANDB) THE RELIEF OF POVERTY PRIMARILY IN AND AROUND THE AREAS OF TELFORD BY PROVIDING: GRANTS, ITEMS AND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED OF FINANCIAL AND/OR BENEVOLENT SUPPORT.

The Church works to advance the Christian Faith for the benefit of the public in the North Telford area, in particular but not exclusively, through the provision of opportunity for prayer, worship, teaching, fellowship, communion, the public celebration of Christian festivals and evangelism to enlighten others about the Christian Faith, and the provision of pastoral care to the community.

Families in Telford Project offers drop-in groups each week day during term time for pre-school children and their parents/carers, facilitated by well qualified and experienced play workers. We plan play and learning activities for the children and encourage parents to become fully involved.We offer holistic support to families and aim to involve them fully in the activities of the Project.

For the benefit of the inhabitants of Bridgnorth and Much Wenlock in Shropshire, the Charity provides opportunities for the development of swimmers of all standards through high quality coaching and training. Appropriate pool time is allocated for each category of swimmer to reflect their needs and abilities. In all that it does the Charity is committed to treating everyone equally.
