The Grifaid Charity is about safe water for all, providing access to safe drinking water for families and communities, resulting in the relief of hardship, the preservation of health and the support of education among people in poverty residing in developing countries.

Helping raise the standards of healthcare in the Gambia

The charity generates donations holding events such as dinners, family fun days and campaigns. The donations are always for a particular cause whether it's for a health care campaign, water projects, children of ill health. The money is donated to those that need it most and is done using other charity partners too. Main focus is on helping underprivileged communities in the West Midlands.

We give support to selected projects overseas, especially those in which local people are involved. We help communities in poor countries with funds for small scale projects that can create a long-lasting benefit. Typically these include the provision of medical, educational and community facilities and the promotion of new techniques for irregation, education and organic farming.

The objects of the ISF are the relief of sickness by the promotion, preservation and protection of health based on the context of self-care. ISF?s core strategies are 1. Helping to develop evidence-based self-care concepts, practices and policies and 2. Helping to promote the role of self-care in health.

DfG UK operates under the umbrella of Days for Girls International (DfGI). DfG UK has over 20 active volunteer sewing teams, dedicated to the DfG mission and to supporting menstrual health locally and globally. Their efforts include advocacy and awareness raising, fundraising, sewing and donating DfG Kits, facilitating menstrual health education, and building local community partnerships.

Discussion, information and knowledge sharing focal point for individual humanitarian logisticians and organisations involved in humanitarian transport and logistics. Networking of volunteers abroad.

Village Aid empowers disadvantaged people in rural West Africa to improve their own lives.Working through community based partners, participatory learning is used to identify development priorities. Skills and resources are provided to turn these into a reality, programmes include Education, Securing Livelihoods and Access to Justice.

Education For Development supports education and social development initiatives in marginalised communities, wherever they are located. Much of our work is around non-formal and community education approaches, using a range of media, and learner-generated resources.

The school opened on 6 January 2003 with a class of 30 children. Fund raising enabled the Charity to build three separate classroom blocks and a hall. The Charity offers free education for children aged between 5 - 18 , of some of the poorest families in The Gambia. There is a University fund that help with fees for our students that obtain a place at University or Professional Qualifications.

ADVANCEMENT OF RELIGION AND ALLEVIATION OF POVERTY

The Charity provides funds for the running of four nursery schools and three clinics in the Gambia, and the wherewithal to develop and improve those projects and potentially to add new ones.

Changing lives for the better by supporting plumbing education & training, promoting the 'craft of plumbing' (including provision of clean water, sanitation, public health and community welfare), and making grants to charities connected with the City of London.

At Westbourne Rotary Club Trust Fund CIO, working as Rotary Club of Westbourne, we take our community and international service seriously, striving to give back to the area in which we work and live and also being mindful of the internationality of Rotary and our international communities too.

Charitable organisation advancing the education of young people and adults in the UK and selected countries and implementing identified charitable projects in those areas, such as through food packs and blankets, thereby improving the quality of life and sustainability, without any discrimination based on race, colour or ethnicity.

Poverty

The charity holds and distributes monies arising from the charitable fund raising activities undertaken by the N Wales & NW England Rotary Passport Club. Funds are used for the relief or the poor and needy or such other charitable purposes that the Club may direct both in the UK and overseas.

The Deacon Foundation has been established specifically to provide an efficient mechanism to collect and account for funds raised by all elements of the Running on Empty project and to distribute those funds to the lowest level in the fight against Parkinsons Disease and particularly to address the stigma associated with it.

Children of Adam Appeal is a charity organisation which aims to feed, shelter and assist people all over the world who have been affected by poverty, famine, drought and natural disasters. Our priorities include orphans, widowed women, elderly and people with disabilities.

RESCUE, FOSTER & ADOPT DOGS OF THE GREAT DANE & GREAT DANE CROSS BREEDS. DANELINE USES 'FOSTER' HOMES ALL OVER THE UK INSTEAD OF KENNELS WHILE WE FIND THE RIGHT HOMES FOR THE DOGS. THE 'FOSTER PARENTS' PROVIDE LOCAL HELP AND ADVICE THROUGHOUT THE ADOPTION AS WELL AS PROVIDING A VITAL LINK IN THE AFTERCARE SERVICE. WE ALSO MAKE GRANTS TO & ASSIST OTHER UK REGISTERED CHARITIES WITH SIMILAR PURPOSES.

Supporting the work of Godalming United Church, and supporting specific development activities in The Gambia, Sierra Leone and Uganda. This includes the collection and shipping of surplus secondhand school furniture from UK schools being renewed & replaced for use in schools in The Gambia and Sierra Leone.

SkyAngels Air Ambulance has been formed to provide the United Kingdoms with its first national air ambulance fixed-winged aircraft service. Our service will give the NHS an extra air ambulance option and bring us in-line with all other developed countries. Regional airline partnerships to help transfer patients by air with medical escorts. Funded & Flying on behalf of the general public.
