The Charity is a grant-making charity. It distributes grants from capital and income for charitable works, mainly Evangelical non-ecumenical Churches and charitable activities undertaken by Evangelical Christian bodies and charitable agencies for the support of the elderly and terminally ill. As the charity is winding down, it is unable to accept any future applications.

The objectives of Ummah Wahidah Foundation (UWF) are the advancement of the faith and religious practices of Islam around the world and particularly in Kuloro (The Gambia). Through the provision of a school, educating the public, providing recreational facilities in the interests of social welfare, relieving those in need, and promoting racial and religious harmony.

We help children and families access treatments that improve health and life experiences when not readily available through statutory bodies like the NHS. This is achieved through developing programs that provide vital emotional and practical support.

We believe that every girl deserves menstrual dignity, meaning access to education about menstruation, access to pads, and freedom from stigmas and taboos surrounding menstruation.
