GET OUT exists to connect disadvantaged young people and children to the natural world to further its protection and improve wellbeing. This is done through surfing, outdoor education and food growing projects. GET OUT primarily works within the London borough of Tower Hamlets but runs surf projects and surf camps around the south of England.

Financial assistance is available through the Higher Education Research and Special Expenses Fund to assist deserving young persons following special technical courses full-time at secondary schools or establishments of further education in the area formerly under the control of the London County Council (under Clause 1), and teachers and lecturers in the former LCC area (Clause 2).
