TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF THE PUBLIC IN THE AREA OF SOUTH WALES AND ITS NEIGHBOURHOOD IN TRADITIONAL SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING IN PARTICULAR BY PRESERVING AND FURTHERING THE PRACTICE OF TRADITIONAL SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCES, PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN PROVIDING INSTRUCTION IN THE DANCING OF SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCES AND PROMOTING THE ENJOYMENT AND APPRECIATION OF SCOTTISH COUNTRY DANCING AND MUSIC

We are a locally run community centre for the benefit of the local residents. The Church hold monthly services, green space for residents and local children. Fund raising events are held regularly and we have regular users of the centre.

To educate the public in the art of brass band playing, to further the development of public taste and appreciation in the art form and to assist other charitable institutions.

mainly used for Girlguiding meetings - for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides & Rangers (girls age 4-18). The hall is also used for local meetings, nursery, holidays and social events

THE ONLY CHARITABLE ACTIVITY IS PROVIDING ANNUAL SIXTH FORM SCHOLARSHIPS AT CHRIST COLLEGE BRECON.

The building is let to W.I. private parties various meeting as well as holding church services social evenings, talks on gardening, quiz nights amongst other activities.

Grant making for the work of St John Cymru Wales

Holding an annual Eisteddfod where children, teenagers and adults compete on stage in singing,reciting,writing, dancing and craft/photogaphic/painting.

Our charity activities include raising money for the following - Jean for Genes Day, Red Nose Day, Air Ambulance. Some money goes direct to charities eg MacMillan coffee morning, Children in Need and some other local charities.

THE BAND IS PRIMARILY A COMMUNITY BRASS BAND PROVIDING A PLACE TO PLAY AND ENTERTAINMENT TO THE COMMUNITY. INCOME FROM SUBSCRIPTIONS AND DONATIONS IS USED FOR THE RUNNING AND UPKEEP OF THE BANDROOM. THE BAND REHEARSES ONCE A PPROX. 2 WEEKLY. THERE IS ALSO A JUNIOR BAND

We provide opportunities to support our community through the delivery of activities, such as family friendly events, trips and visits, bingo, and the provision of youth services

U3A IS A LEARNING CO-OPERATIVE OF OLDER PEOPLE WHICH ENABLES MEMBERS TO SHARE MANY EDUCATIONAL, CREATIVE & LEISURE ACTIVITIES. IT PROMOTES & FACILITATES LIFE-LONG LEARNING. U3A'S ARE DEMOCRATIC SELF FUNDED & SELF MANAGED ORGANISATIONS, THEY DRAW UPON THE KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS OF THEIR MEMBERS TO ORGANISE INTEREST GROUPS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE WISHES OF THE MEMBERSHIP.

The members of Rhoose Women's Institute meet formally once a month in the local village hall to discuss their activities and to be entertained by speakers on various topics. At other times they meet to take part in social events, for example coffee mornings, lunches, outings to places of interest in the Vale of Glamorgan and occasionally further afield.

Education and Awareness: Organizing and delivering educational programs, workshops, and campaigns to teach water safety skills, swimming, and first aid. This can include school visits, community events, and media campaigns.Provision of Life saving equipment: Procure and Install life saving equipment at beaches and coastal areas.

General charitable activities to foster an interest in Welsh history, especially related to the contribution of Owain Glyndwr to that history.

The money raised will provide care and support for pancreatic cancer patients and their families in Wales, as well as funding the medical profession for investigation and research into pancreatic cancer.

Promote the study of chess amongst persons under the age of 21 years in Wales and in schools, colleges, universities and other educational establishments in Wales with a view to the improvement of the minds of young chess players. The furthering of their general education and the development of the general education provided in the educational establishments.
