Maintain the Recreation Ground

The main activities for this year have been to follow the Guiding programmes for each section as set by The Guide Association

All Scouting activities and Scouting programme in accordance with Scouting UK's Policy Organisation and Rules.

The charity manages and maintains the recreation ground for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish and for the provision of such ancillary facilities. The facilities include a five-a-side basketball unit, an adventure play area, a junior play area and two pay and play tennis courts. Activities held include the annual bonfire night and bi annual rural fair.

Provide Village Hall Facilities to organisations, clubs,and people in the local area. Available for parties,christening and wedding receptions. Also available and used for meetings and also used as a Polling Station.

The charity promotes the development of psychic and spiritual healing that further the harmonious development of Man and provides psychic and spiritual development programmes and healing services for the benefit of members and the public. In providing this mandate the JCPF bars no person for reasons of colour, ethnicity or creed.

The society is the local amenity society for Southwick promoting good standards of planning, protection of the environment and local heritage, and public interest in these matters. It has a lease on the Manor Cottage which it runs as a local heritage centre.

Southern Riders is a regional group of RoSPA affiliated Advanced Drivers And Riders (RoADAR). Our Group is exclusively geared to advanced motorcycle training and has members from all walks of life who ride all makes and types of motorcycle.

To run fundraising events for Seal Primary Academy school.

Provides funding for the maintenance and repair of the Fletching Parish Church. During the last two years we have funded Roof repairs and an Intruder alarm (to protect the lead roof).

New Life Africa International UK supports the work of NLAI in Nakuru, Kenya, by raising money to be used to provide complete care for orphans. Some live in NLAI homes and some live with extended family members in complete poverty. Money is raised through sponsorship for individual children and projects and by fund raising events such as quiz nights, car boot sales and clothes collections.

Fund raising to provide equipment etc for the Children of Chidham Parochial School.

In 2025 the trustees hosted activities towards fulfilling the objectives of the trust; these included a concert of music by Arthur Sullivan, the AGM and talk about the history of St Hubert's Church, a Midsummer Sun event and the popular annual Musical Picnic.Recent financial support has been given towards the restoration programme, resulting in repairs to the porch and a new drainage system.
