Scouting

We work to advance education of pupils at schools in Ankoma, Ghana and England, by supporting children from Ankoma to visit England on an educational and cultural trip. This brings children from both cultures together to create educational and cultural bonds, linking schools, teachers and pupils in a spirit of sharing and educational learning.

The purpose of Concern For Life is to provide for the health and welfare of children under the care of St Richard's Hospital in Chichester and we hold a variety of fund raising events to achieve this.

Making grants in cases of need to residents of Crawley who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm, in order to procure items, services or facilities to alleviate suffering or assist recovery which are not available to them from other sources.

Maintenance of a small Parish Room as an amenity from the village on Compton and surrounding villages.

Makes grants or loans to persons resident in the parishes of Fittleworh and Stopham, Bedham in the parish of Wisborough Green, Coldwaltham and Watersfield in the parish of Coldwaltham and Egdean in the parish of Petworth who are sick, convalescent, disabled, handicapped or infirm. The purpose of the grants or loans is typically to assist with travelling expenses to hospital, help in the home etc.

To promote for the benefit of the inhabitants of Lurgashall and the surrounding area the provision of facilities for recreation or leisure time occupation of individuals who have need of such facilities by reason of their youth, age, infirmity or disablement, financial hardship or social or economic circumstances or for the public at large in the interests of social welfare

Holds annual Flag Day and disburses proceeds to naval charities.

To apply the income, or capital at the discretion of the Trustees, for the benefit of the public to relieve the suffering of animals in need of care and attention; to provide and maintain rescue homes or other facilities for the reception, care, treatment and welfare generally of such an animal

The Recreation Ground provides a recreational amenity for the parish as well as a facility for the several village sports clubs.

The provision of a meeting place for senior citizens in, and around, the Petworth area thus encouraging companionship and conversation. Numerous activities and outings are arranged throughout the year together with regular scrabble, bingo, card and quiz sessions. The centre is generally open Monday to Friday between 10.00am and 12.00pm and in the afternoons between 2.00pm and 4.00pm.

The Trust's income has been applied in supporting variouscharitable causes. The principal beneficiaries being theMedical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture,Church Mission Society, The Church Armyand UNICEF.

CCHF All About Kids (Formerly known as Children's Country Holidays Fund) is a registered national charity, founded in 1884. We exist to give disadvantaged children a range of residential activity and respite breaks. We improve the quality of children's lives and help them to recognise their potential in a safe and happy environment.

Receation ground, pavilion and tennis courts for sports activities and social events.

LEUCAN embraces families living in the area from Shoreham to Chichester with children with leukaemia, cancer or bone marrow failure. The self-help group offers comfort, support and advice, along with financial assistance to families who have unexpected expenses and travel costs. The group also organises social events to enable families to meet in informal situations.

To provide recreational and leisure-time facilities for the benefit of children and the community as a whole within the Parish of Lavant with the object of improving the conditions of life of such persons.
