Alfred Salter PTFA is a registered charity of parents at Alfred Salter Primary that enhances students experiences through fundraising. The charity is a primary school PTA. Various school events are organised for social and fundraising purposes. Donations are made to the school from any surplus made to fund the purchase of equipment and services for the school.

Our PSA works with our school, parents, pupils and the local community to put on a range of events and activities, such as discos and fairs. These help to build the school community and fundraise. We use our funds to purchase a range of goods and services that help advance the education of pupils at our school such as playground equipment, books and other learning tools.

WORKING HANDS raises funds for a surgical programme, currently based at a leprosy hospital in Nepal, supporting a team of Hand Surgeons who travel there to operate and to teach the local surgeons. Working Hands is independent, and all donated funds find their way directly to the front line of treatment, purchasing equipment and consumables for each trip. The Surgeons give their time for free.

Providing education and training on a nautical theme under the guidance of the Sea Cadet Regulations based on the traditions of the Royal Navy, to young people aged 10 -18. Encouraging them to recognise and achieve their full potential regardless of their background or ability. Supporting other local groups and fundraising in the community.

The Peek a Boo Trust raise fund via walks, runs, Charity Awards dinner and canine related events. This is to raise funds for both Animal and Children's charities in the UK. We have supported Charities that are both large and small and to date have donated over £100,000.

We are a small UK voluntary organisation that supports Sighthounds through sponsorship in the South of England. We have 8 'Lifeline Sponsor' hounds that we support medically and are open to grant applications from vets and owners who need help to pay for a hound's critical medical needs, due to personal circumstances or having exhausted their insurance limit. We fundraise to support this cause.
