SERVING THE WELFARE AND CULTURAL NEEDS OF THE IRISH COMMUNITY IN LONDON THROUGH A RANGE OF SERVICES INCLUDING: ADVICE, ADVOCACY, OUTREACH, DAY CENTRE SERVICES, VOLUNTEERING, HEALTHY LIVING, MISSING PERSONS, EDUCATION, REFERRALS AND OPPORTUNITIES TO LEARN AND PARTICIPATE IN IRISH MUSIC, DANCE, LANGUAGE AND THEATRE.

The charity operates to provide on-going funding to Sir Michael Sobell House (The Hospice). The fundraising effort concentrates on four main areas, which are:-- The Sobell Lottery- Community Fundraising- Financial Support - legacies, investments and grant income- Trading - shopsFunding is provided to The Hospice by way of grants and services provided.

We are a local Independant grant making charity. We raise funds by obtaining donations from individuals and companies. Local charities and community groups apply for grants to support their charitable activities in Milton Keynes. Via our subsidiary company, MK Community Properties Ltd, we provide local voluntary and community organisations with accomodation at a subsidised rate.

The National Youth Agency works in partnership with a wide range of public, private and voluntary sector organisations to support and improve services for young people. Our particular focus is on youth work and we believe strongly that by investing in young people's personal and social development, young people are better able to live more active and fulfilling lives.

The Charity undertakes as part of its fundraising, various activities involving both staff and the general public to generate income. All income is utilised for the benefit of staff and patient welfare within the Trust.

We advance the study of nursing and promote excellence in nursing practice. We raise funds to provide scholarships for nurses and midwives, to study at home or abroad to provide innovation in practice, extend skills to meet changing needs.

The objectives are 1) provision of relief to families in crisis from poverty, conflict, hardship, homelessness, ill health or addiction 2) relief of needs of overwhelmed and resource limited parents and their children through the provision of safe, temporary family stays for their children and 3) protection of the physical and mental health of the children. Support provided through volunteers.

Our vision is excellent fundraising for a better world. We support fundraisers through leadership and representation; best practice and compliance; education and networking; and we champion and promote fundraising as a career choice. We are also a charity, and we support charities and public benefit organisations in connecting donors and supporters with the causes they care passionately about.

The activities include (not exhaustive):* Education & Support : promoting the interests and welfare of students at LU and representing, supporting and advising students* Provides social , cultural, sporting and recreational activities e.g. clubs & societies, volunteering, campus events* Provides forums for discussions and debates for personal development of students

Wings for Life UK aims to advance and promote scientific and medical research for the benefit of the public into the nature, causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of all forms of spinal cord injuries. Wings for Life UK raises money through various fundraising initiatives and prioritises funds raised for UK based research.

THE TRUST FUNDS VOLUNTARY SECTOR LEGAL AGENCIES IN LONDON AND THE HOME COUNTIES THAT PROVIDE FREE LEGAL ADVICE TO POOR OR DISADVANTAGED MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AND NETWORK ORGANISATIONS THAT SUPPORT THESE LEGAL AGENCIES.

Sefton CVS promotes voluntary,community and faith activity in the borough of Sefton and surrounding areas by means of providing services to and support for voluntary, community and faith organisations.CVS acts as the principal coordinating and umbrella infrastructure organisation and is a conduit between voluntary sector organisations, through networks and joint working, and the statutory sector.

To raise funds for the world wide Colel Chabad organisation food program distribution in Israel for the poor and disadvantaged.

Beit Halochem UK Is a charity devoted to raising money for the Beit Halochem Rehabilitation Centres in Israel that provide facilities and lifelong support to disabled veterans and victims of terror. Another objective is to increase awareness in the UK community about the work of the Centres in Israel

Provides care and support to patients and carers.Volunteers provide transport, practical help, befriending. Carer support, advice,access to short breaks for adult and young carers.Day care for older people. Mentoring. Family and childcare activities. Volunteering opportunities. Health improvement and health promotion activities including lifestyle change programmes for long term conditions.

Housing, community services, arts projects, counselling, befriending, peer-lead recovery, volunteering

The Charity supports the work of Florence Nightingale Hospice through total funding of specific services such as the Children's Hospice at Home, Day Hospice, Lymphoedema service, and part-funding of inpatient nursing, Nightingale 24/7 service and community palliative care nurses. We raise £790,000 per annum through donations, fundraising, gifts in a will, shops and a local hospices' lottery.

CENTRAL LONDON SAMARITANS PROVIDES A SAFE PLACE FOR PEOPLE TO TALK, ROUND THE CLOCK, EVERY SINGLE DAY OF THE YEAR. PEOPLE CAN GET IN TOUCH BY PHONE, EMAIL, TEXT, LETTER OR BY VISITING A BRANCH. VOLUNTEERS ALSO DO OUTREACH WORK, FOR EXAMPLE AT FESTIVALS, PRISONS AND SCHOOLS.

Provide emergency financial assistance, welfare and wellbeing advice and emotional and legal support to the construction industry workforce and their families in times of hardship and stress. Promote initiatives aimed at avoiding accident and improving safety and health on construction sites.Deliver local and national events that embrace networking, fundraising and fun within the industry.

Age UK Lincoln & South Lincolnshire has 5 key functions - to undertake research into the needs of older people and to develop innovative services; raise awareness of older peoples' issues and campaign on their behalf; provide information and advocacy, provide a range of other community services that promotes health and wellbeing, independence and choice; promote volunteering opportunities.

Voluntary Norfolk is the major volunteering organisation in Norfolk recruiting, training and supporting volunteers. Voluntary Norfolk is also the largest voluntary sector infrastructure organisation in Norfolk. We support the work of voluntary and community organisations by providing a range of free and paid-for services and by representing sectors interests within key partnerships.

KeyRing supports OVER 1500 vulnerable adults to build skills and networks needed to live independently in their own homes each year. Within the KeyRing Networks, mutual support, community engagement and social connections are facilitated by our volunteers and staff. Other activities include Ancora helping 1400 people in hardship in Oldham and the North Yorkshire Advocacy Service.

TLC: Talk, Listen, Change provide a range of services in support of safe, healthy and happy relationships. These include: - counselling for children, young people, individual adults, couples and families- domestic abuse prevention programmes for perpetrators - mediation and separation services- community volunteering projects- partnership relationship-focussed projects

The charity's main objectives for the period were to:1. Grow and develop the infrastructure of the charity; 2. Develop and implement a Fundraising Strategy;3. Develop and implement a Science Strategy and Knowledge Management infrastructure;
