Childcare Charities

Administration of a community centre, the Erskine Centre, used by residents of the community, the villages of Chevington, Chedburgh, Depden & Rede, and by non-residents for dances, meetings, wedding celebrations etc. Administration of an annexe for the care and education of a pre-school organisation.

Coordinating events to raise money for additional equipment and activities at Recreation Road Infant School, plus other charities as chosen by pupils at the school. Also supporting community events such as coffee mornings and prospective parents evenings at the school.

FUNDRAISING EVENTS (FAMILY DISCOS - CHRISTMAS FAIR - EASTER FAIR - CAR BOOT SALES - QUIZZES - WINE TASTING - ETC) TO RAISE FUNDS FOR DOVEDALE PRIMARY SCHOOL

1.Manages and co-ordinates the use of the Guilsborough Playing Field for Senior and Junior Cricket & Football Clubs, Guilsborough Pre-School, Primary and Secondary Schools, Northants Sports. 2.Ensures the Field and facilities are safe and fit-for-purpose, 3.Manages the finances, raises funds needed for maintenance, capital and operating costs.

Operates and maintains the community centre building and grounds enabling playgroup for infants and children, dance classes, sport and recreation clubs for special interest groups and a club for the elderly. Used for childrens parties, local elections.

Raises funds for classroom resources for High Down Infant School.

The Memorial Ground provides a space for recreational activities within the village including a play area for young children and facilities for playing cricket and football.

Community Centre for use by village and surrounding area for all age groups for sports, fund raising, keep fit, marshall arts and many other social activities, including Day Centre. There is also a library, play group and Doctors branch surgery on the site.

Open area for use by the public, football games, and cricket games, with playground equipment for children

Meeting place for community & social groups, including over 60s, dance schools, playgroups, exercise classes, sewing & flower groups, games for elderly, drama group, and talks by visiting speakers.

Coffee Mornings and Community lunches, WI, Indoor bowls,Table tennis, Bingo, Tea Dances, Amateur Dramatics and General fund raising events, Hall hire (parties, weddings, keep fit, etc...) plus Play Area and Playing Field maintenance.

Maintaining Cheapside Village Hall for the benefit of the Village of Cheapside and the wider community The Hall is hired for regular activities, including Pre-School, Breakfast/teatime club for the local school, Yoga, Keep Fit, Choir and one-off parties. It is used for community events such as Village Fayres, Quiz nights, and other eventsAll funds are used for the upkeep of the Hall

The Gatty Hall functions as the centre of village life for the community of Ecclesfield and the surrounding area. Weekly activities on offer are badminton, ballroom dancing, hand bell ringers, Brownies, Guides, playgroup, toddler & mums group, craft workshop, mothers union, ladies group, line dancing, dancing class, local M.P. monthly surgery and ad hoc bookings. We raise money for school projects eg. computers, school trips and playground equipment. This financial year our biggest fundraiser was a summer fayre. We hold other events like a talent night, school discos and a quiz night.

At the present time Asheldham & Dengie parish room have finished presenting a pantomime (old mother hubbard) involving all age ranges from the Dengie Peninsular. Dance classes, dog training classes and a childrens nursery hire the hall on a regular basis.Any profits from the pantomime are allocated to other local charities. Funds from classes go toward the upkeep of the hall.

The recreation ground has a pavilion with changing rooms for both sexes , a disabled access lavatory as well as a meeting room/kitchen.The pavilion is used for sporting and social purposes and can be hired by the public.On the ground there is one football pitch and a play area for youngsters with a basketball shooting court. There is seating for the many walkers and visitors who use the area .

Godinton Village Hall is used for about 16 User Groups ranging from Brownies, Guides,WI to a very successful playgroup

We provided facilities for groups to meet, social events, recreation ground for our village football teams and a play area for the residents of the village and surrounding villages.

The provision of recreational facilities for the village of Kirkby in Furness.The Community Centre is located on a 5 acre site, providing pitches for cricket, football, bowling and a Multi Use Games Area with tennis courts, netball courts, a basketball court and a five a side football pitch. The site also provides a childrens playground, public toilets and an informal recreational space.
