The Popda Society is currently supporting in the provision of community and medical services to third world countries. The charity will continue to seek opportunities to further alleviate distress and poverty.

To provide quality service to meet the diverse needs of families through provision of advice, information and advocacy that addresses individual needs; the delivery of education, training and mentoring to assist attainment within school and employment; and the development of projects and resources for supporting and strengthening families and other groups within the community.

Village Hall. Provides venue for a variety of sporting, social and cultural activities.

Museum mainly of local maritime matters but also agricultural and social activities as well. A Victorian school is run for local schools to use to give them an idea of educational ways in Victorian times. The catchment area is North Devon.

Taking care of the fabric and running a small Village Hall, providing space for local groups e.g. Bridge, Martial Arts, Yoga, WI; Civic Society.In addition, the Hall is used by (a) Music groups providing evening entertainment (b) Birthday parties (c) Wakes (d) Wedding receptions etc.

Preschool set in a rural location offering day care for children aged 2 - 5 years.

Encouraging, promoting & improving the breeding of Blonde D'Aquitaine Cattle. Registration of Blonde D'Aquitaine Cattle. Promotion of breed at agricultural events.

The charity aims to improve in healthcare to people in underdeveloped countries, particularly in rural areas of sub-Saharan Africa, where access to appropriate levels of healthcare is very difficult.

Community activities - Charity fundraising events (shows, sales), dance lessons, fitness classes, choirs, pre-school group, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts, young farmers meetings & dinners, annual village show. The hall is rented by villagers for weddings, parties and other private functions.

Providing seven social housing units in a rural area with no public transport or shop and which provides often low income employment.

Promoting community development, encouraging involvement, and participation in activities within the benefit area. Providing and securing the provision of social, cultural and recreational facilities and practical assistance for the public of all ages and abilities. Reflecting the changing needs and interests of the public, in the wider community, in a social and economically deprived area.

The aim of the Trust is to preserve Twyford Waterworks as a Scheduled Ancient Monument, and to develop its educational and leisure potential through the formation of a Museum of Water Supply.

Promotion of community activities and provision of community centre for use by village groups and clubs.

A rural youth organisation run by its members (aged 10 to 26) for its members. It provides young people who have a love of the countryside with fantastic opportunities to develop numerous skills, take part in a varied competitions programme, travel abroad, work within the local community, make friends and enjoy a great social life - fun, learning and achievement.

Supporting local community activities and providing trassport to local hospitals and doctors.

THE PROVISION OF POSITIVE ACTIVITIES FOR RURAL YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 10 TO 28

A Dales Agricultural, Horticultural and Industrial Show, exhibits of livestock, farm produce, etc; the event is open to the general public.

Scouting and Guiding activities. The Scout and Guide hall is hired out occasionally at the weekend for other community activities.

Supports the advancement of education, religion, health and saving of lives, citizenship and community development, the Arts, culture, heritage and science, human rights, conflict resolution etc, and Charities providing assistance to those in need.

Presentation of classical, cultural and educational dramatic works and recitals to foster, promote and increase and maintain public interest and education in, and appreciation of, the dramatic arts and co-related arts.
