The Howe Trust (Wheatley) provides small grants for local people in need, and care for 26 acres of land. The agricultural land, known collectively as The Howe, includes some 100 allotments, an orchard and memorial tree area as well as grassland, hedgerows and woodland. Working with other local and charitable organisations, we manage the land for biodiversity and the benefit of the community.

General charitable purposes for home and abroad.e.g. Shelter/Emergency Boxes,the Rotary UK Fund,International Children's Trust,(providing education for children in the third world),for local school Arts competition,Youth Speaks and Young Enterprises.

Community activities

has an interest in all aspects of Clevedon as a town, historical, environmental and developmental. The society has open meetings twice per month along with many planned events. The trustees and committee meet monthly.

Upkeep of Village Hall through lettings, fund-raising activities.Provide community activities.

Provides a service, mainly in upland or mountain areas, to save life and alleviate distress. Additionally undertakes searches of lowland and rural areas for missing persons when requested by the Police.

The society monitors & responds to planning applications within the borough of Shrewsbury, encouraging high standards of design, architecture & town planning whilst ensuring the preservation & maintenance of the historic town fabric.The society organises lectures, exhibitions, heritage open days and an international cartoon festival to stimulate public interest and to ensure an end use for history

team building activities for young people, to enhance their confidence. Many competitions and challenging activities to participate in.

Involved in district planning matters, Local Heritage List, heritage tree-planting, guided walks in summer.Monthly guest speakers on matters of local interest, during winter.Encouraging and enabling public engagement on matters of local planning and Sense of Place.Organise improvement initiatives: Beeston Street Art, Light Night, Design Awards, Skateboarding, and biodiversity in nature.

Upwell is a small rural village with limited public transport to near by towns the committee provide open space play area, sporting areas for all ages and abilities of the community are welcome, the committees main aim is to provide a modern facility for community use. The committee is totally reliant on community support/funding for all financial aspects in running the playing field.

Maintaining the Village Hall to the necessary standard so that it may be used safely for Community activities

To promote farm animals and connected activities to the public by putting on an agricultural show.

To advance the Christian religion in the UK and worldwide and humanitarian work and relief (homelessness, disability, famine relief, education and training, and advancement of health) primarily in overseas countries .

Educational and social activities for young people with an interest in the countryside.

PARTNER TRUST TO A TRUST IN INDIA. AWARENESS & FUND RAISING ON BEHALF OF LEPROSY RELIEF, HIV CARE, TRIBAL HEALTH CARE & CIVIL RIGHTS, WELL MOTHER & BABY TRAVELLING HEALTH WORKERS, POLIO CORRECTIVE SURGERY, CATARACT SURGERY & AFTERCARE, RESPONSE TO NATURAL DISASTERS.

The Leonard Trust distributes its income in amounts varying from £500 to £5000 to registered charities ranging from small local ones (Hampshire) to large nationals. Historically we have tended to concentrate on Christian based charities, mental health, and overseas aid, often in response to specific disaster relief. Our remit is wide and we also support many smaller and diverse charities.

The main purpose is to enable women to improve and develop their education, including the arts,crafts and sciences, advance their education in citizenship and other cultural subjects and in all branches of agriculture, home economics, health and social welfare and to improve and develop conditions of rural life.
