Rurcon Communications Unit exists to support and make known the practical, educational, training and extension work with African Christian leaders in Rurcon (rural development counsellors through Christian churches in Africa) to benefit whole communities in Sub-Saharan Africa.

THE PROVISION OF POSITIVE ACTIVITIES FOR RURAL YOUNG PEOPLE AGED 10 TO 26

Seeks to enhance and preserve the history and surroundings of the township of Rainhill. Monitors planning applications. Also organises an annual gardening competition, and holds a programme of meetings throughout the winter season, open to all. New activities include an oral history project with sound recordings made by local people .Community-wide commemoration of local involvement in WW1

Our aim is to preserve the quality of the local built environment through participation in the planning process. We are a statutory body for consultation. The society has a wide membership (approx 300) to whom we offer a lecture programme and regular newsletters. We aim to make the town a pleasant place to live and work.

Youth Organisation

The charity provides pensions to eligible elderly residents within the boundaries of the former Wood Green Urban District Council. It also provides grants to eligible residents in need.

Uttoxeter JNFU are affiliated to the Staffordshire Federation of Young Farmers Clubs, a Rural Youth Organisation open to anyone aged between 10 and 28 years. The Club meets in and around the Uttoxeter area and the members organise their own programme of events ranging from sports, talks, trips, competitions, discos and balls - to name just a few!

A rural youth movement for members aged between 10 and 26yrs to meet, fundraise for themselves and enjoy social events. Activities include drama, entertainments & pantomime at which the club excels, all sports competitions, public speaking competitions, stock-judging and cattle rearing, fundraising for local charities and skills/training. This is a member led organisation.

The provision of assistance towards integrated community development for the Samburu peope of Northern Kenya

a community centre in the village of Gerlan providing a space for people to meet and hold community activities.

Education and development of young people through a variety of activities and competitions including public speaking, stock judging, cookery and sports. 10 clubs across the county organise their own weekly meeting. Emphasis on social, fundraising and travel opportunities too.

Provides financial assistance towards short residential courses for children aged eight to fourteen years. Courses combine academic subjects with practical experience of farm living and working. Developing skills and understanding between urban and country life.

Bwlch & Crickhowell offers a programme for young people aged 10 to 26 years of age. Which includes; cookery, rural craft, sport, drama, public speaking, community work, over seas travel, training and much more.

To promote and encourage the art and skill of ploughing, hedging and other rural craftsTo promote an annual Welsh Match, to be held each year in a different area of WalesTo provide facilities whereby entrants from Affiliated Socities to the Welsh Ploughing Assoication may compete for the Welsh Championship and represent Wales at The British Championships and other such competitions

The Dever Society was founded in 1990 to combat the threat of a new town at Micheldever Station, in the heart of rural Hampshire. The Society also works as an amenity organisation for the mid-Hampshire Downs and the Dever Valley.
