THE MAIN CHARITABLE GIVING IS RELATED TO SCHOOLS AND YOUTH ORGANISATIONS IN HORNCASTLE AND GRANTS FOR STUDENTS IN FURTHER EDUCATION WHO ARE FROM OR STUDIED IN HORNCASTLE OR THE LOCAL AREA

A sum up to 25% of annual income may be dispensed for the general purposes of the school. The residual income is to provide awards of scholarships, exhibitions & financial assistance to beneficiaries who are persons of either sex under the age of 25 years and who are, or at any time have been, in attendance at the school and who, in the opinion of the trustees, are in need of financial assistance.

The Knoop Trust currently helps to fund ophthalmic research in Oxford. A post jointly held in St Cross College and the University Department of Ophthalmology is awarded from time to timeto suitable applicants. The aim is to make the award annually when conditions permit.

Promoting the availability and quality of association football for boys and girls in full-time education, through coaching and the provision of inter-school/college and inter-county competitions and fixtures. The objects of the Charity are to help young people resident in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton who are in need of financial assistance, and in particular to provide financial assistance for individuals undergoing further education, and for charitable institutions in the Metropolitan Borough of Bolton who have as one of their main objects the care and benefit of deprived children of Bolton.

Shrivenham United Charities comprises Martens Trust Almshouses providing accommodation for 6 appointed almspersons and Garrards Charity providing grants for tools or books to apprentices or young or disabled people who going on to further education.

The charity provides some of the land and buildings on which the King Edward V1 College operates.The charity has limited resources but will consider small grants to assist persons resident in the locality in pursuance of educational projects at home and overseas.

Relief of poverty and grants for further education to young people

To promote the education of persons between the ages of18 and 25 who, or whose parents, are resident in the parishes of Barton-le-Clay, Higham Gobion or Pulloxhill. Grants are made annually to students who are in training for a profession or calling at universities, colleges or other institutions of further education. Annual grants may also be made to local schools and other local youth groups.

Management of the Endowment Fund to provide grants to individual students and to the College for equipment.

The Charity at its discretion: -helps any Old Stortfordian, and/or wife,husband,widow,widower, child or dependant of an Old Stortfordian in need or deserving assistance by reason of poverty, illness, injury or other misfortune-education or maintenance of a child in need at the College

The charity owns a property and some of the rent from that property is given to students to help them at in further education and higher education. We oversee the schoolrooms and give advice and help to the management committee.

The rental from properties owned by Boyles Educational Foundation are used for the benefit of local young people continuing their studies/vocational training at University/College.
