UFAW IS AN INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNISED, INDEPENDENT, SCIENTIFIC AND EDUCATIONAL ANIMAL WELFARE CHARITY. THE ORGANISATION IS CONCERNED WITH PROMOTING HIGH STANDARDS OF WELFARE FOR FARM, COMPANION, LABORATORY AND CAPTIVE WILD ANIMALS, AND FOR THOSE ANIMALS WITH WHICH WE INTERACT IN THE WILD.

We make financial grants to disabled individuals of any nationality studying in the UK in further or higher education or training towards employment. Our grants are designed to help cover additional disability-related study costs and to accelerate future leaders through their studies.

Our primary objective is to make positive change for students. We do this by representing their views, needs and concerns to the University of Bolton, the National Union of Students, and Government. We provide friendship ,social activities and talks for Holocaust survivors in Leeds; promote and deliver Holocaust education at the Holocaust Learning & Exhibition Centre in Huddersfield and at schools, colleges, universities and community groups through survivors and volunteer speakers in the north of England; provide advice and guidance to external organisations on Holocaust related matters.
