Education Charities

The Charity's aim is to use the donations received to enhance the services provided by University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust, thereby improving patient care. This is acheived through the provision of additional equipment, services, training and education. The Charity also funds items directly related to patient and staff welfare which could not be purchased using NHS funds.

1. THE ESTABLISHMENT AND RUNNING OF ATERES GIRLS HIGH SCHOOL TO PROVIDE A JEWISH EDUCATION, BASED ON TORAH VALUES, FOR SECONDARY SCHOOL GIRLS OF THE ORTHODOX JEWISH COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING A COMBINED EDUCATION OF BOTH THE NATIONAL AND JEWISH CURRICULUM. 2. THE PROVISION OF BUILDINGS, GRANTS AND SERVICES FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF THE ORTHODOX JEWISH FAITH.

The Union's objects are advancement of education of students at Bangor University for the public benefit by:-promoting the interests and welfare of students at Bangor University, representing, supporting and advising.-being the recognised representative channel between students and Bangor University and any other external bodies; and providing social, cultural, sporting, recreational activity.

To advance for the public benefit the education and training of children and young people with particular reference to equipping them for employment and facilitating their obtaining work in industry, commerce and the professions.

To provide the advancement education and relief of poverty of people in needy circumstances involving the provision of assistance and training for the development of skills in coping with life and employment. To promote the advancement of the Christian Faith.

Provision of courses in biblical, theological and related studies alongside vocational training and personal development,

SWALLOW provides supported housing, outreach in the community, education, independent living skills training, information, supported employment and work skills experience and social and fitness activiites for people with learning disabilities. We are a user led organisation, responding to the needs and wishes of our members.

The provision of coeducational teaching services in a preparatory school

To provide employment and training opportunities for people with long term mental health support needs. We operate three vocational training projects set within social enterprises. We offer IPS employment support, standard employment support, in work retention support, business advice and career progression advice.

Education - Independent Preparatory School

The Fund was incorporated on the 24 December 2003 with its objectives being the advancement, for the public benefit, education in the United Kingdom by promoting the establishment, maintenance, carrying on, management and development of schools with a Christian ethos and in accordance with Christian principles.

The advancement of the Orthodox Jewish religion, orthodox jewish education and education in general and in particular (but not exclusively) supporting the charitable activities of the schools. The relief of poverty, sickness and infirmity in particular not exclusively among persons of the Jewish faith. Such other purposes as are charitable according to English Law as

The Foundation and its endowments are administered to the benefit of the School of the Foundation, also known as Old Swinford Hospital, a Voluntary Aided boarding and day school.

The furtherance of any charitable purpose connected with Dair House School

To advance the education of and provide assistance to University of California students in the United Kingdom; to maintain and develop relations with institutions of higher education in the UK; to plan and implement joint academic programmes between the University of California and British institutions of higher education in the UK; and to enhance relations with UC alumni and friends.

The charity runs a school for children over the age of 5 and also gives aid to needy Talmudical students and makes grants to the poor and needy.

Relief of unemployment through vocational training and job creation. Beneficiaries are unemployed who may be disadvantaged or marginalised. Support will be available to all, but will focus on the Jewish community via grants and investment in charities, social enterprises, businesses or any other projects. The Trustees of the Foundation may consider other applications for smaller grants.

We offer all year round after-school & holiday provision at our adventure playgrounds, youth clubs and through a street-based team. We also provide projects and informal education for young people. Our programmes offer children and young people aged 8-19 (up to 25 with additional needs) the opportunity to grow, play, have a voice and learn.

To advance education in the UK by providing and assisting the provision of literacy support in such ways as the charity trustees think fit, including the provision of volunteers to UK primary schools to listen to pupils read and encourage their reading skills.

To deliver social objectives by co-ordinating community development activities, employment and life skills support and developing social enterprises.

Scientific research into nutriceuticals and support for Downing College, Cambridge University.

MAKING THE LEAP IS A SOCIAL MOBILITY AND YOUTH CHARITY WHICH RUNS CAREERS EDUCATION PROGRAMMES FOR CHILDREN IN SCHOOLS ACROSS LONDON, AND DELIVERS SERVICES THAT PREPARES YOUNG ADULTS FOR LIFE-CHANGING CAREER OPPORTUNITIES

The charity makes grants for the purposes of (a) the advancement of education and health through the development of treatments and therapeutic interventions for eating disorders (including anorexia nervosa) and (b) the advancement of education and learning through scholarship in relation to early Judeo-Christian art and culture and its impact on European society.

AF&V LAUNCHPAD'S PURPOSE IS TO REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF HOMELESSNESS, UNEMPLOYMENT AND SOCIAL DEPRIVATION AMONG VETERANS BY PROVIDING RENTED ACCOMMODATION IN A SINGLE SITE, SPEKE HOUSE IN LIVERPOOL AND AVONDALE HOUSE IN NEWCASTLE. ONCE HOUSED, LAUNCHPAD ENCOURAGES VETERANS TO ENGAGE THE NUMEROUS ORGANISATIONS THAT OFFER HELP WITH TRAINING, SEEKING EMPLOYMENT AND FINDING PERMANENT ACCOMMODATION.
