The Friends of Avonmouth is a Parent, Teacher and Friends charity which raises funds for the benefit of pupils at Avonmouth CE Primary School. They do this by arranging school fairs, recycling clothes, batteries and ink cartridges, amongst many other activities. Events are held within the school premises.

Charity raises funds through UK organised events such as the Brighton Marathon, London Marathon, London Triathlon, and Great South Run. As a charity we also run our own annual Pro-Am Golf Day and quiz night. We also raise funds through one-off small scale events such as cake sales, dress down days and awareness days and we recycle various items such as ink cartridges, CD/DVD's and mobile phones.

The Charity recycles sports kit, primarily cricket, for the benefit of young people in the UK and overseas. Respite for Carers was set up to provide free breaks for carers in need of a well-deserved rest. The income for the charity is made up of donations from local companies, and the newly launched Stairlift Recycling Scheme, a dynamic initiative which was set up to remove and refurbish unwanted stairlifts, a need identified by local authorities.

Cycle-R is a community recycling charity that collects old, used, damaged and scrapped bicycles and refurbishes them for re-use. Finished bicycles are sold at low prices, accessible to those on low incomes, as an affordable means of personal transport. Cycle-R will also provides gainful employment, volunteering and training within the community.

The Trust operates in the Castlegate area of the city of Sheffield. It works with interested partners including the Council to secure restoration and re-use of historic buildings, whether listed or otherwise, and furthers public education about the history and significance of the area by offering events like guided walks and talks to explain the importance of the area.
