Animal welfare and nature conservation.

The charity owns an area of ancient woodland which, when appropriate material has been gathered, will be displayed on an appropriate website, in accordance with the charity's website strategy, whose purpose will be the education of the public regarding the importance of conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment of ancient and other woodland.

Working with and in consultation with the owners Hyndburn BC, the Friends promote the protection of the physical and natural environment of Jackhouse, including carrying out volunteer sessions and educational walks.

Providing an open recreation space for villagers, including significant 'natural' areas where people can enjoy nature and wildlife at first hand

Withington Civic Society seeks to bring together and involve all persons who are concerned to protect, improve and understand the built and natural environment, and heritage of Old Moat, Withington, Ladybarn and south Fallowfield in Manchester.

To promote the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment around Burgess Hill and other local areas for the public benefit; to advance the education of the public about wildlife within the areas by:undertaking practical conservation work , regular surveys of the area's flora and fauna, organising guided walks, newsletters etc., monitoring use of area.

An amenity society caring for both the built and the natural environment throughout the borough of Fareham.

The Mintingmor Trust is a charity to benefit primarily, but not exclusively, people and places in Teesdale in order to:- 1. Improve the social, educational and environmental situation of those living or working in Teesdale or the surround areas and 2. Preserving, conserving and enhancing Teesdale's flora and fauna. The Trust provides financial support to charities addressing theses causes.

We manage the Clara Vale Local Nature Reserve to protect the wildlife and habitats and enhance biodiversity. The Reserve is open to the general public throughout the year and is used by local schools. There are several ponds and two bird hides. The Group has also established a Community Orchard. We have a Nature Club for children and their parents/carers. We publish a regular newsletter

Raising money towards equipment and services for the children of South Wootton Infant School by means of fundraising events such as disco's, quiz nights, Summer and Christmas Fair's including sale of the children's art and craft work and commission based recycling.

Provision of a recreational area including a games area and children's play equipment, and as from 2008/9 cricket and football pitches, tennis courts, bowling green, a wildlife conservation area and 49 allotment plots.

The wildlife area is a designated local nature reserve and makes the most of its natural assets - wetland, meadow and woodland. The association exists to ensure the area continues to be a self-sustaining and varied habitat requiring the minimum of intervention - at the same time as promoting public access, enjoyment and education.

The aim of the project is to coordinate, support and train local volunteers in conserving and enhancing the special qualities of the Northumberland Coast AONB, this could be through;1. Wildlife and habitat conservation activities2. Beach Cleaning3. Dealing with invasive and non-native species4. Plant and wildlife monitoring and recording5. Improving access to the coast.

Hatcham Temple Grove Parent Teacher Association organise fundraising events that help to provide additional equipment and resources for all the children who attend the primary school.Typical activities include Cake Sales (every 1/2 term), Clothes Aid (recycling clothing collection), Discos, Christmas Events, Christmas cards, Used uniform Sale, Easter raffle & Summer Fair.

To manage and maintain the Mosaic Nature Reserve for the benefit of biodiversity,the community and to provide environmental facilities for children and adults.

Global Environment Centre - Europe is part of the overall Global Environment Centre network which supports actions to address environmental issues of global importance including climate change, biodiversity, water resources and sustainable development.

We are a Canoe Club offering our young members, people between the ages of 8 and 24, an introduction and advancement in paddle sports. We offer the opportunity to learn the skills required to paddle their chosen craft in a fun and safe environment.All our coaches and support group are volunteers giving up their time and knowledge freely and hold the appropriate qualifications and CRB checks

We organise local sustainability events at community centres or other locations within Telford and Wrekin. We organise 'swaps' where the public can bring items to swap or can take items for a pay as you can donation, have an eco library, offer recycling facilities via Telford Terracycle. We invite other eco organisations and individuals to attend our events to share information/activities.

GSR work to educate the public about the ills of traffic, congestion and air pollution and to offer practical alternatives to using the car for the school run, wherever possible.

Our four themes for grants are: wildlife particularly in Shropshire, Suffolk and Hampshire; music, specifically community music, and community arts more generally; advice and information work; end of life care and how it can be improved.We want to deliver outcomes. Our interests are projects we can learn from, less popular work, projects that might have a big impact and cross theme work.

The charity will work to conserve, protect and improve the physical and natural environment by promoting biodiversity in the local area. We will also seek to advance the education of the public in the conservation, protection and improvement of the physical and natural environment.
