To assist with the maintenance upkeep of Ness Gardens

The pincipal activity in the year was carrying out fundraising activities for UK and Worldwide charities. The Principal event through which funds are raised is an Annual Garden Party.

The Trust buys and rents land, and manages it in a traditional, wildlife friendly manner. Our conservation volunteers help in this respect on a weekly basis. Orchards, flood meadows and woodland are our main focus, but any land which has a landscape or heritage feature is considered. We hold and visit events where we explain these traditional ways to the local people.

We are a small pre school located in Patchway, Bristol and provide care and education for children aged 2 - 4 years old prior to them starting their Primary Education Journey. We offer a large range of activities on site including plenty of outdoor play in our large gardens. We also take the children on regular outings in the local community as well as further afield.

The Bitou Trust is dedicated to assisting disadvantaged communities and advancing sustainable development and conservation within the Bitou region of the Western Cape Province of South Africa. In the short term, the trustees intend to conduct ecological surveys, produce a 10-year management plan and to commence works to maintain and enhance safe public access to the nature reserve. Our ecological group are now developing a ten-year management plan, incorporating the results and recommendation of these surveys. Community engagement will be at the forefront of future activities.

WCGM will run activities, events and learning opportunities for the whole community that promote and support the development of skills, knowledge and confidence in chemical free food growing and healthy eating. School visits, work experience placements for unemployed, volunteering and well-being activities will be delivered from our Community Garden and Market Garden sites in Dane Valley, Margate.
