The Woodlands Village Hall provides a village hall for the use of the inhabitants of Marchington Woodlands and the adjascent villages and hamlets. The hall is available for public and private events. It provides, with the exception of the village church, the sole community facility in the Parish of Marchington Woodlands.

The Orchard Garden is held in trust for the purposes of a recreation ground for the use and benefit of the inhabitants of Collingham and Linton.

The hall is used by various local groups as a venue for meetings and activities including badminton, exercise class, Garden and Film Clubs and Parish Council The Hall is also used as a venue for private parties, wedding receptions, funeral teas, children's parties and as a polling station. The hall is used by people of all ages from the village and surrounding areas.

The Trust only supports projects in Africa which are personally known to the trustees. At present the countries include:- DR Congo, Kenya, Malawi, South Africa, Uganda and Zimbabwe. THE CHARITY HOLDS ACTIVITIES TO RAISE FUNDS FOR WOODLAND GRANGE PRIMARY SCHOOL. THE SCHOOL IDENTIFIES AREAS THAT THE CHARITY CAN DONATE FUNDS TO HELP ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF PUPILS IN THE SCHOOL.
