Hanborough Playing Fields Assoc provides a village hall/pavilion for many uses, and also manages the sports field for varied sports & recreational activities. Groups from outside the parish as well as those who are local are welcome to use the facilities.

Management of Community Hall, Playing Field and associated facilities for public and charitable hire.

GHPFA manages and operates the Village Hall and Playing Field in Great Houghton, Northampton. Some of the activities include Village Cricket and Football Clubs, and a Tennis Club. Inside activities include the Womens Institute, Short Mat Bowls Club, Youth Club, Messy Church, Painting Group, Dance and Zumba Groups and other activities as requested and considered appropriate.

Football, Cricket, Tennis, Sports Days, Local and County Fairs, Outdoor Pursuits, Team Building and Events.

Providing and maintaining two halls and a playing field for the benefit of local organisations.

Provide and maintain sporting facility for the use of both Ruthin Cricket and Football Clubs.

We provide facilities for the members of the centre to partake in the purchase of alcohol and be entertained in various ways in the main club itself. We also provide satellite sites for the use of football and cricket and are home to fishing clubs, snooker clubs,organ society's and an over 60s club.

To promote social engagement through sporting activities including Football, Bowling, Karate, Yoga.Other activities: support of a Brass Band, Youth Club, WI Ladies, Bestwood Ladies Group, Autism Group, Male Voice Choir & facilities for local and surrounding families to use.There is also support for the village Christmas Tree, parties and local events.
