In May 2008 we completed all building work and opened the Skillington Community Centre.Skillington Community Centre is used as a village hall and is available for use by local residents and hosts many clubs/societies and events. The Centre also has sports changing rooms and a playing field which is a regular host to local football teams.

The Obelisk Centre provides recreaional facilities in the actual building and playing fields.The facilities are available for use by a local football club providing training and social arrangements for boys and girls under 18 years of age. The Withiel Playing Fields Association was formed to acquire the playing fields of Withiel Primary School, and to build a Village Hall on their playing fields. The activity of the Trust nowadays is to manage the Hall in accordance with the Trust Deed for the benefit of those residing in the ÔÇ£area of interestÔÇØ: Withiel (population 351 in the 2001 census) and the surrounding parishes.

To provide sporting activities on the Alderholt recreation ground

Phillimore Park is a local park. Since 2004, the Darnall Green Spaces Regeneration Project has been working to engage the community in the regeneration of the park. A master plan for the park was completed in 2005 and in April 2010 two large sections were completed. These were a games area for young people and a play area for 8-13s.
