Provide and maintain an Institute and Recreation Ground with facilities for recreation and leisure time activities for the benefit of the people of former mining community of Swallownest and surrounding area.

Making available the Village Hall and playing field including children's play area for use by the community.We send out a newsletter about events in the community every quarter.

The recreation ground has a pavilion with changing rooms for both sexes , a disabled access lavatory as well as a meeting room/kitchen.The pavilion is used for sporting and social purposes and can be hired by the public.On the ground there is one football pitch and a play area for youngsters with a basketball shooting court. There is seating for the many walkers and visitors who use the area .

We aim to supply a hall with the usual facilites for any local group to use, at present we are used be the local W.I. Society, the Mattishall Society, Voga Classes, Local Youth club meetings, Keep Fit and other exercise lessons, The Local Parish Council meetings.The hall is available for parties and weddings.The Playing field supports .the Village , Cricket and Bowls Clubs

The LPFA manages the village recreation ground which includes a Childrens Play Area, an enclosed Multi Use Games Area and two Football Pitches. It also administers the running of the hall adjacent to the recreation ground.

We are a organisation who runs the local Village Hall and playing fields area for the village. It is a committee made up of members of other committee's and local organisations. We let out the hall & playing fields and keep and maintain of the said places. We are responsible for the upkeep and general day to day running of the hall.
