Swarland Village Hall is held in trust for use by the community of Swarland and its environs in the county of Northumberland, without distinction of political, religious or other opinions including use for meetings, lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of benefiting the said inhabitants.

We are a village hall, therefore we provide our community with a building to use for all kinds of clubs and activities.

To provide a social space for all types of community activities for all age groups.

Day to day management of village hall

Provision of a facility for community activities, clubs and events for the Clehonger Parish and surrounding area.

Our main objective is to hire out our hall for as wide a range of activities as possible. We have bookings from mums, tots, playschool, echo (an organisation for the physically and mentally disabled), table tennis, hardy plants society, womans institute, as well as meetings for regular groups, parties and an auction. It is also used for our own fund raising.

We are a organisation who runs the local Village Hall and playing fields area for the village. It is a committee made up of members of other committee's and local organisations. We let out the hall & playing fields and keep and maintain of the said places. We are responsible for the upkeep and general day to day running of the hall.

Hall is used regularly by Headway charity, local groups (inc Gardening, Badminton, Short Mat Bowls, Japanese Embroidery, National Trust, Music Practice, Thai Chi,) Wookey Parish Council and monthly Church breakfast.Single bookings include parties, wedding & christening receptions and funeral wakes, charity functions and the annual village fete. Outside there is a children's play area

The object of the charity is the provision and maintenance of a village hall for use by the inhabitants of the area of benefit without distinction of political, religious or other opinions, including use for:(a) meetings, lectures and classes, and(b) other forms of recreation and leisure-time occupation,with the object of improving the conditions of life for the inhabitants

Provide Building and Space for local community to hire.

Provide building facilities and open space for all members of the local community and near villages. Provide sports space for local primary school, youth group and parent & toddler group. Provide nine allotment plots for use by members of the community on annual agreement on first come first served basis.

The Memorial Hall is used for a variety of activities; including weddings, celebration parties, community events, keep fit classes, wakes, polling station.
