Facilities Charities

The Charity administers and manages the recreational facilities for the benefit of the local community and other members of the general public. The amenities include the recreation ground, children's playground, memorial gardens, three tennis courts with a clubhouse, the Parish Pavilion, a Scouts hut and a Sports Pavilion.

The main function of the West Maldon Community Association is the management of the Community Centre. We try to provide a first class centre at reasonable prices, for the people of West Maldon. Most of our funds come from the hire of the centre and we also run bi-monthly quiz nights and other fund raising social events. Most of our profits are used to maintain and improve the facilities.

CCYC is a tented camp held at Braithwaite Memorial Institute, near Keswick in the Lake District. It is arranged each year with the express purpose of telling young people about the Lord Jesus Christ. The children come from all over Cumbria and a few from other parts of the country. Some have a Church, Sunday School, Youth Club background but others have never heard the good news of Jesus Christ.

Newport Memorial Hall facilitates projects and training for young people including the disadvantaged of all ages. It is run as a resource and for the benefit of Newport. It puts on workshops, classes and events for all ages and abilities. It is available at a low cost for the community.

Provision of a vibrant Village Hall and Playing Fields for the benefit of Rayne and the surrounding Villages. There is a large hall and also office that are available for hire by both local business and residents at competitive rates. There is a BMX track plus fitness equipment along with a children's playground within our fields

Sports/recreational activites

TO PROVIDE AND MAINTAIN A VILLAGE HALL FOR THE USE OF THE INHABITANTS OF IVER VILLAGE AND RICHINGS PARK AND THE NEIGHBOURHOOD, INCLUDING USE FOR A PRE-SCHOOL, MEETINGS, DRAMA PRODUCTIONS, CLASSES AND OTHER FORMS OF RECREATION AND LEISURE-TIME OCCUPATION.

Maintenance and development of Lapworth Village Hall for social and recreational activities within the village and surrounding area.

Provision of village hall facilities for a multitude of events including film shows, theatre, entertainment events, antique and arts and crafts, childrens activities, badminton, dog shows, weddings, private parties, meetings, learning centre and many smaller events such as keep fit, bingo and indoor bowls.

To promote physical ,mental, recreation, social, moral and intellectual development by encouraging lectures, classes, sports, recreations and entertainments or otherwise for the benefit of the inhabitants of Silverdale and its immediate vicinity without distinction of sex, race and age or of political, religious or other opinions.

TO PROVIDE MEETING PLACE FOR THE LOCAL COMMUNITY OFFERING FACILITIES FOR A VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES, IE YOUTH CLUB, KEEP FIT CLASSES, SOCIAL AND EDUCATIONAL EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING EVENTS.

We continue to provide a facility for the use of clubs, societies, childrens groups, religious groups, health groups, arts groups, private functions and the elderly. The number of groups using the hall has increased this year. The building continues to be maintained to a high standard.

To develop and maintain resources that are used to organise events and activities that stimulate the widest possible involvement of people within the villages of Beausale, Haseley, Honiley and Wroxall.

To provide a Hall for the use of the residents of Steventon and surrounding area of Oxfordshire for all types of activities

The provision of a village hall for the benefit of the inhabitants of the Parish of Rodmersham, Kent, for all community activities including education, religion, youth, aged, sport, and social activities and events.

Hiring and Letting

The charity objectives are to benefit the inhabitant's of Whitechapel and neighbourhood without distinction of sex or of political, religious, or other opinion's, and in particular for use for meetings lectures and classes, and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation.
