The charity provides and maintains accommodation for "poor persons of good character who (except in special cases) are resident in Stamford at the time of their appointment as an Almsperson" in return for a weekly maintenance contribution. Healing Little Hearts sends teams of Doctors and Nurses to a Hospital from all over the world to developing countries of the world to perform heart surgery and other types of paediatric surgery on children upto 18 years .The charity raises money here in the UK to fund the travel and stay of the teams.The team do not charge for their services. and all team members take annual leave for the trips
