Dyscover is a charity offering long-term support, hope and opportunity to people who are isolated by communication problems after a stroke or head injury (a language disorder called Aphasia), and their families.Dyscover builds working relationships with and delivers its specialist services to health and social care workers, public, private and third sector organisations and the general public.

Plasma of Hope is a UK registered charity supporting individuals that are living with Sickle Cell Disease or other related illnesses. We advocate for people living with genetic blood disorders such as Sickle Cell and Thalassemia, and survivors of associated complications including stroke and other health issues resulting to disability. We also help their carers and those in their support network.

Stacey Centre is managed by The Community Association & supported by Portsmouth City Council. The centre has a five-a-side floodlit football pitch, car parking facilities & disabled access. Groups running at the centre include Nature Nursery, Men in Sheds, karate groups, dance classes, stroke club, social club for people with learning disabilities plus community orchard & community cycle project.

To provide help advice, support, information to people who have suffered a stroke & family and friends. To raise awareness into stroke and its effects & how to reduce the risk. Promote setting up of groups to help people & their family/carer.

InterAct Stroke Support takes professional actors into hospitals and stroke clubs to read and interact with stroke survivors. This interaction alleviates boredom, depression and stimulates the brain, thus helping rehabilitation & recovery.Post stroke depression is common and neural stimulation has been shown to help the brain "adaptively rewire" finding new routes from A to B.

Speakeasy helps people with aphasia - a communication difficulty caused by stroke or other head injury. We also offer practical help and advice for families and carers of people with aphasia.

LEGS provides physiotherapist led rehabilitation in a supportive and enjoyable group environment for people who have had a stroke or live with a neurological condition. LEGS is a UK registered charity consisting of a course of weekly group exercise and discussion sessions. Classes take place in private exercise studios and online.

Operating in the Lancaster and Morecambe District we offer a one stop Drop In for people affected by Neurological conditions such as : MS, Parkinsons,ME, Stroke, epilepsy,motor neurones, MG, Huntingtons, ACC etcAddressing issues pertaining to Neuro illness such as isolation because of or as a direct result of neuro disability we offer support both practical and pastoral.

To encourage and advance the rehabilitation of members of those suffering from the effects of stroke, and other brain injuries which have resulted in partial paralysis. Particularly by the physical training of patients who require recovery programmes. Such training will enable those who have suffered brain injuries progressively to recover movement, balance, physical strength and confidence

Offering relief, support and benefit to those suffering from the effects of a stroke and living in the counties of Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk, by the provision of a range of facilities and activities, so that their condition of life may be improved.

Many sporting/leisure facilities are provided for the local community, including football, karate,bowls, snooker,pool, kick boxing, dancing, bingo, and flower arranging, etc. Many local organisations (like , Rugeley Stroke Club and Miners Memorial Society) use the premises, plus the WEA which provides art classes. The Welfare Centre is at the heart of the local community.

The objects of BIASP are to promote the advancement of Stroke Medicine within the United Kingdom.

The Hall provides a variety of services and events throughout the week, available to local area and surrounding communities.It offers weekly classes in fitness, art, line dancing, sequence dancing, indoor bowls, bingo and dancing. Venue for Darby and Joan, National Stroke Association, birthday parties, weddings and other functions. It offers its facility to local schools and other charities.

Provides a wide range of on-going, effective rehabilitation care therapies for stroke victims in a day centre.

Countrymen UK use the farm and countryside environments help to meet the challenges being faced by men who find themselves isolated because of deteriorating physical or mental health or changing social circumstances. Conditions may include: Dementia, Parkinsons, Stroke, Isolation, Injuries, Anxiety, Depression, Post Traumatic Stress, Chronic Pain, Cancer, Heart & Lung Conditions and others.

Our primary aim is to make contact with, and provide practical support to, people throughout Newbury and West Berkshire who have suffered disablement following a stroke. We also aim to provide relief and support to dependants and carers of such persons, where there is a need.
