WE RAISE AWARENESS OF STROKE AND CAMPAIGN FOR BETTER EMERGENCY, REHABILITATION AND SUPPORT SERVICES. WE INVEST IN STROKE RESEARCH TO HELP REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF STROKE, TO FIND THE BEST TREATMENT AND LONG TERM CARE AND IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR STROKE SURVIVORS.

The charity provides a range of symptom management therapies and treatments to support people who have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Parkinson's Disease (PD) and Stroke survivors to give them better control over their lives. It also aims to provide direct care, support and counselling for patients, their carers and families, all conducted in a welcoming inclusive environment

Our staff and volunteers together deliver services and activities for people aged over 50 in Gateshead & Newcastle.We are driven by the needs & aspirations of people in later life & our mission is to improve the lives of older people.Our vision is that all older people flourish. Wide range on animals to stroke and feed, animal petting pavilion, shop-selling home produce free range meat,eggs,ice cream, Cafe, plant sales, woodland walk, play area, horse rides/RDA, birthday party room hire, day care service for people with special needs, special events throughout the year i.e halloween night, xmas grotto.

Many sporting/leisure facilities are provided for the local community, including football, karate,bowls, snooker,pool, kick boxing, dancing, bingo, and flower arranging, etc. Many local organisations (like , Rugeley Stroke Club and Miners Memorial Society) use the premises.The Welfare Centre is at the heart of the local community.

Speakeasy helps people with aphasia - a communication difficulty caused by stroke or other head injury. We also offer practical help and advice for families and carers of people with aphasia.

Club operating 4 days a week providing activities, exercises, therapy for people in the Horsham area who have suffered a Stroke or neuroligical condition.

The charity provides three halls for the local community to use for various functions within the village, including W.I. flower club, pilates, dancing classes, dancing, stroke clubs, dog training & drama group. The charity produces pantomimes, variety shows and band concerts to raise funds.

Provision of Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment for a wide variety of conditions including multiple sclerosis, cerebal palsy, autism, strokes and sports injuries.

Sportability provides sport and challenging pursuits for people with all forms of paralysis - spinal cord injury, stroke, M.S etc. Activities include micro-light flying, gliding, sailing, canoeing, quad-biking, archery, clay pigeon shooting, BloKart sailing, wheelchair tennis, falconry and more. Their credo is taking the 'dis' out of disability and to focus on ability.

Our primary aim is to make contact with, and provide practical support to, people throughout Newbury and West Berkshire who have suffered disablement following a stroke. We also aim to provide relief and support to dependants and carers of such persons, where there is a need.

Club facilities given free of charge to aid charity events. This could be equivalent to a saving of £130 the usual charge for hall hire & bar staff. Our premises are used free of charge by The Bristol (Stockwood area) Stroke Club. Also the premises have been offered free of charge to Bristol Children's Hospital for disabled children during school holidays.

Providing accommodation for all local groups, clubs, families and societies to enjoy all the normal facilities of a community centre for as low a price as possible (lowest in the area). Facilities include;- dancing, dance tuition (incl ballet), meeting rooms, sports and recreation, parties and celebrations, garden clubs & societies, stroke club, slimming classes, toddlers groups.

The Community Centre provides varied activities for the benefit of the community which we serve. These include - stroke club - computer club - children's disco - warm zone drop-ins - band rehearsals- church groups- - day carers group - disabled group - keep fit classes - social activities - rugby training and a meeting venue, activity groups and a gardening/social group.

Support services to those who suffer from heart related illness including heart attack, stroke, heart failure, heart surgery etc.We hold weekly supervised exercise and relaxation classes and we endeavour to supply practical support and encouragement.

The Club meets every month throughout the year for lunch at various venues and visits to different locations. A holiday is arranged at least once a year and there are occasional afternoon teas, visits to the theatre etc. The committee meets once a month and there are various fundraising actiivities. We also support members at times of stress.

The charity runs a day centre for disabled people open two days each week throughout the year. Various activities are organised, including a programme of outings during the summer months. The charity owns a mini-bus and provides transport for members. The day centre building and minibus have also been used by other groups of disabled people such as the Stroke Club, St Raphaels etc.

With in the Pitchcombe Parish and surrounding local areas we provide facilities for the benefit of the inhabitants in regards to arts/culture, sport/recreation, economic/community development/stroke employment by providing buildings/facilities/open space.

The club aims to improve the quality of life of stroke survivors, to provide information and to support their families. Membership is open to all who have suffered a stroke irrespective of age, race or gender. Activities are designed to stimulate the mind and body to help with continuing rehabilitation in a social setting. The club helps demonstrate that there is life after stroke.

The club exists to enable disabled people to benefit from swimming therapy; amongst our disabled members we number those who have suffered strokes, heart operations, back injuries, amputations, multiple sclerosis, visual handicaps and arthritis, as well as to endeavour to provide assistance to disabled persons to gain access to swimming facilities.

Provides care and support to people who have suffered a stroke and who are at various stages of rehabilitation.
