The charity provides amenities to improve the comfort of the patients & staff of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Medical research is also supported & substantial grants made for works of improvement benefiting patients, staff & visiting relatives. The charity is able, from time to time, to purchase medical & surgical equipment which the Trust is unable to fund from its own budget.

The Society seeks to promote the advancement of the sciences of medicine, surgery, and those branches of science connected therewith. It does this through an academic programme of lectures, symposia and awarding bursaries and financial assistance to medical students and the award of prizes for significant contributions to medicine.

The objectives of the charity are the relief of sickness and the preservation and protection of good health by the provision of finacial assistance to the programme of heart and lung transplantation and future clinical developments in heart and lung surgery at the Wythenshawe Hospital, Manchester.

Support Group to help others, and their families and friends, who have had, or about to have, cardiac surgery. Also to fund raise to purchase equipment for Royal Papworth Hospital.

TO SUPPORT HIGH STANDARD OF PRACTICE AND TRAINING IN ENDOCRINE SURGERY. WE PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION ORGANISE A NATIONAL AUDIT IN ENDOCRINE SURGERY AND PROVIDE TRAVEL GRANTS FOR TRAINEES TO IMPROVE THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS ABROAD. WE ALSO REPRESENT ENDOCRINE SURGERY AS A SUB-SPECIALITY ORGANISING THE TRAINING CURRICULUM AND REQUIREMENTS OF CONSULTANT TRAINERS

The charity makes grants to the Royal College of Surgeons of England to support surgical research fellowships.

Provide financial support to both serving and retired members of staff along with dependent family members who find themselves in severe financial difficulties, through no fault of their own. Provide recuperative holidays following long term sickness or after major surgery and support with palliative holidays for staff.

The Institution was established for the cultivation of knowledge in medicine, surgery and the collateral branches of science, together with the maintenance of a library.The Institution was established as an association in 1770 and incorporated under a Royal Charter dated 23 June 1964.The principle activities are the library, lectures and meetings for members and conference activity.

Awarding scholarships to support research in orthorpedic surgery; awarding other scholarships and grants to support the study and practice of orthopaedic surgery and its associated nursing care.

Assess the need and give appropriate support in individual cases of social distress or financial difficulty.

Provides grants to study head and neck surgery and laryngology.

The general promotion, advancement and encouragement of surgical and medical science, together with medical studies and research.

The EGA Hospital Charity supports both patients and staff at the hospital. We award a Travel Fellowship yearly for doctors travelling abroad to further their training. We help with improvement of hospital facilities, fund research projects and buy vital equipment such as for fetal surgery or postnatal care, and much more. The EGA Charity PhD Scholarship, funding PhD fees, started in 2022.

The advancement of education through study and research in the fields of surgery and medicine to individuals, groups, organisations and other charities engaged in the care, support and the relief of suffering of the sick, infirm, injured, handicapped or disabled.

To advance the science and art of ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery and to improve the practice and teaching of this subject in Europe and to raise sufficient funds to make fellowship grants.

The provision of an "Out of Hours" (7pm to 6am) rapid courier service for the transportation of blood, samples and any other items used for the medical or surgical treatment of patients for doctors, hospitals and laboratories free of charge; Attending various events to promote these activities, recruit new volunteers and raise funds to cover the operating costs of the charity.

To acquire, procure or otherwise obtain and supply medical and surgical equipment, medecines, preparations, appliances and apparatus for the hospitals in Derby and South Derbyshire in order to add to the said hospitals' facilities to investigate, diagnose, prevent, relieve and cure sickness and ill health of every kind.

The charity seeks to help those in need of convalescence, for whatever reason, who cannot afford the total cost of such convalescence. 1) Persons recovering from sickness, medical or surgical treatment. 2) Such persons who are in a weak state of health and require a change of air, or require respite care.

We are the Community Centre for Old Harlow. We offer a varied programme of arts and recreational activities, and events for all ages. The Centre is available for private hire. Public consultation meetings and ward council surgeries are held here regularly.

We aim to rescue unwanted and stray dogs by keeping them either in a safe foster home or in a kennel. They are attended by a veterinary surgeon and we call in a behaviourist if necessary. Following necessary home checks, our dogs are rehomed and we follow their progress. To raise funds for all these tasks, we hold dog shows, sponsored walks, attend carnivals and car boot sales.

The charity undertakes medical research and the advancement of medical eductation for the benefit of the public through a fellowship in Surgery at the Department of Surgery at the University of Oxford.
