The College is involved in a wide range of activities that influence and support the professional development of surgeons and the delivery of surgical services. These activities include monitoring the progress of trainees; running examinations for trainees; running courses for surgeons throughout their career; and awarding research fellowships.

Horder Healthcare operates a hospital for patients requiring orthopaedic surgery and musculoskeletal services which is supported by a number of outreach centres in the South East. It owns and operates a second hospital, also in the South East, which delivers maxillofacial, plastic reconstruction surgery and ophthalmology.

The College creates and maintains standards in ophthalmic training and practice, organises examinations and sets the curriculum. It maintains a CPD system and provides surgical skills courses for trainees. It organises scientific meetings, publishes a scientific journal and provides information on ophthalmic matters for practitioners and the general public.It encourages eye related research.

The BSAVA is a professional body for veterinary surgeons and nurses who treat companion animals. It drives/promotes excellence in small animal veterinary practice through focusing on education, science and the community to develop the knowledge and skills of its members. PetSavers, its research arm, funds veterinary clinical studies into diseases of pets and the treatment thereof

The Charity runs a convalescent home in Rustington near Littlehampton to provide long or short term convalescent care for men or women who are recovering from sickness or surgery and to provide respite care for those in need.

Publish The Bone and Joint Journal, Bone & Joint Research, and Bone & Joint 360.Maintain websites containing key information for orthopaedic surgeons' education. Encourage authors to prepare and submit high-quality research.Provide production and publishing services to orthopaedic associations.

The charity continues to take in animals whose owners can no longer look after them. These animals, where possible, are found homes and those with behaviour problems or needing medical care are given sanctuary for the rest of their lives if needed. Two veterinary clinics in fixed premises, and one in a mobile surgery, are being run to enable those people on low income to have their pets treated.

The Association's principal activity is the dissemination of information as it relates to the specialty of plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery. BAPRAS aims to be a unifying organisation to represent, support, and professionally develop the best evidence-based practice in order to achieve the highest standard of patient care.

The ambition of RCVS Knowledge is to become a global intermediary for evidence based veterinary knowledge by providing access to information that is of immediate value to practising veterinary professionals and directly contributes to evidence-based clinical decision-making.

The principal activity is the dissemination of information as it relates to the Specialty, leading and guiding professional practice, forming a governing body, defining professional competency, promoting continuing professional development and stimulating and supporting research.

Provides financial assistance to deserving veterinary surgeons, RVNs and their dependants; provides a helpline and website for veterinary surgeons, students and nurses; provides for the relief of mental and physical illness, associated with compulsive behaviour or stress or depression, which may or may not result from alcohol or drug addiction or other forms of dependence.

Release is the national centre of expertise on drugs and drugs law providing free and confidential specialist advice to the public and professionals via our national legal and drugs helpline. The charity also provides the following frontline services: therapeutic counselling, expert witness (reports and testimony) and legal outreach surgeries, as well as a number of free publications.

The principle objective of the Society is to promote the British Journal of Surgery as Europe's leading surgical journal and to support its affiliated surgical associations in Europe in promoting and advancing the practice of surgery by providing research and editorial bursaries, invited lectureships, surgical prizes and general support of surgical meetings across Europe.

CMCA Ltd is a community resource centre providing advice and information on welfare rights, housing, immigration and nationality laws individual support sessions and advice on education, training and employment opportunities. Run adult education classes, sports and crafts activities (some for women only) ESOL, health promotion surgeries, creche and full day care nursery - social and cultural event

To promote and advance the study and general knowledge of science & medicine and all matters relating to the progress and development of all branches of medicine and surgery and for that purpose to establish, facilities for medical and scientific reseach, and buildings for postgraduate medical and dental teaching.

To relieve the suffering of animals & provide/maintain a rescue home for unwanted animals & provide treatment for sick & ill-treated animals. To provide a re-homing service for animals fit for re-homing with a neutering/spaying option if needed. No animal will be put down, unless on the advice of a veteniary surgeon.

The range of services and activities offered include childrens nursery and workshops, bridge, trapeze classes, dance classes for children and adults, music session for under 4's, under 4's drop-in, yoga, life drawing, seniors yoga, Open House, evening talks, narcotics anonymous, children's ballet, members bar, community choir, councillors surgeries, lunch club. We also run a community library.

We are a British based charity and raise funds worldwide for animal welfare organisations in Italy. The funding we provide helps to support the purchase of medicines,surgical equipment,rescue vehicles,education and training.We promote stray sterilisation initiatives.

We host a mother and toddler group, a pre-school, 3 senior and 1 junior football team, social and team skittles, shortmat bowls, darts teams, snooker teams, a whist and bridge club, bingo, oap's group. We subsidise twice weekly lunches, we host functions, organise coach trips, children's Christmas party, monthly police surgeries and legal advice, occassional MP's surgeries and a polling station.

Dementia Carers Count is the working name for The Royal Surgical Aid Society. We provide space for family carers of people with dementia to inspire them to learn, connect and receive practical support to feel empowered in their caring role. We invest in research to understand family carers? experiences, needs and desired outcomes, and campaign to improve the support they receive.
